I'm absolutely obsessed with this boutique hotel. From the moment we check in (with a special treat for our anniversary) to the amazing room (we were in room 303 and I think it was one of the prettiest rooms I've ever woken up in), we loved every detail. We had amazing breakfasts at the five hotels we stay in over 16 days in Portugal, but the breakfast here was my very favorite. It was absolutely delicious (we had benedicts and scrumptious pastries). Everything about this hotel screams small luxury hotel - it was perfect. I would come back to Lisbon just to stay here again!

The location is great - close to everything but tucked away on a quiet and shady side street which was perfect for a hot August break. The restaurant and terrace was a wonderful spot for drinks and dinner. Staff great and air con the best we’ve had. Important when Lisbon is hot. Nothing

It is a beautiful hotel which was an old palace which has been modernised into an amazing hotel. It is very comfortable and the room was beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic. The location in the old part of the city was perfect and taxis are easy to get if you don’t want to walk all the hills in Lisbon! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. It would have been perfect to have a view from the room but there was a lovely little terrace just across the hall with a good view which we could use.

The staff were great. Super friendly and helpful. Especially the housekeeping/turndown staff. Always making sure we had water. Also the rooms and the location were pretty nice. The hotel has an outdoor restaurant thats open all day, and blasting music. We were awoken at 6am with loud stomping in the hallways and the music blasting. Even with earplugs we heard the vibrations. So from 7am to 12am we heard music blasting outside our window. Plus the toilet was broken so it would run after flushing so you had to go jiggle the handle. Really beautiful property but so incredibly disappointing.

Beautiful quiet spot in the Alfalma district. The mixology was past perfection, the staff was some of the nicest people I have ever met, and their restaurant.. to die for!! I hope to visit again someday.

Our stay at Santiago de Alfama was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled perfectly in the heart of Lisbon's most historic district, this hotel strikes the ultimate balance between old-world charm and modern, understated luxury. The property itself is gorgeous—beautifully restored, incredibly clean, and full of character. Our room was an absolute sanctuary: beautifully appointed, spacious, and remarkably quiet despite being in such a vibrant neighborhood. The attention to detail in the design and amenities made it feel less like a standard hotel room and more like a high-end home away from home. The service across the board is flawless, but a special mention must go to Dylan at the front desk. He was exceptionally warm, professional, and went out of his way to ensure we felt completely taken care of throughout our visit. Between the prime location, the stunning property, and top-tier service, Santiago de Alfama is a true gem. We wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else when we return to Lisbon!
