We had a perfect stay. The room was really elegant and comfortable and very spacious with a beautiful view. We appreciated the door code locks, which meant we didn't have to worry about who had the keys. The location was right near the bridge so we took a lot of riverside walks. The cafe overlooking the river was brilliant and the breakfast was fabulous - probably the best hotel breakfast ever. Really, really good coffee and a fantastic choice of food including vegan and vegetarian. The staff were brilliant and let us check in early too. Could not have been better. If we'd stayed another day we would have loved to take part in their rafting activities on the river too. Nothing.

Hmmm...hard to say since we really did not like this so-called hotel at all! I would compare it more to a hostel. We did know there would not be any staff as we arrived after 4 pm and followed the directions sent to us and we were able to enter first a gate and then a second door (near the garbage cans) with steep stairs to the second floor. Our room was at the top of the stairs to the left on a narrow small landing which was precarious to say the least carrying luggage to it. The room was much smaller than expected & not at all like the picture I was sent by Booking.com which showed a much larger room. I called this to attention to management in the morning (since there was no one there overnight as this "hostel" is over a coffee shop that closes at 4 pm but they assured us this was the room we booked. (I even showed them the Booking.com picture & they said they would speak with them) There was no a/c & the room was unbearably hot. Pulling shades, opening windows & using the provided fan helped but now we had to listen to raucous conversations and bad language from people partying nearby and in the street outside our windows. We were sorry we booked this property and in fact, are very surprised it gets such high ratings unless it is from all the young people who come here for adventures like running the river (which are also sold by the same people who run this "hostel.") We could hear people in other rooms talking late into the night. Breakfast was surprisingly good & the cappucino was excellent. After all it really is a coffee shop. We did not like anything about our stay here and wished we had booked elsewhere. In fact, I am surprised Booking.com carries this property on their website. I expect more from their listings & will be decidedly more careful in the future.

Location was excellent!! Was clean - and provided TWO fans for the exceptionally hot nights! Comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast in a beautiful setting!! No top sheet (as is the custom in Europe). And super small shower.

Large room which was nicely decorated. Hot shower. It was great having a key pad to access the room rather than having to carry a (card) key. Breakfast in the café was excellent but would have liked the option for both fruit, yoghurt and granola as well as a cooked breakfast rather than either or. At breakfast, there was a lovely buzz in the café. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Centrally located for easy access to places for dinner. 24 hour parking in the East car park was close and reasonably priced. The shower was small and there was nowhere to put the soap dish.

Really good location. Nicely decorated room. We managed to time our parking so we got the free hour outside the hotel and able to stay overnight. Easy check-in and a really filling breakfast

Perfect sized room for the family, great location Hard to find parking, if you have large suitcases know you are climbing stairs with them

It was spotless, the breakfast was outstanding (try the cheese waffles!), the staff were very nice, the bed was super comfortable and they provided ground coffee and a cafetiere. Nice touch. It's very central to town and provides a nice discount for last minute activities at the outdoor center. It's beyond their control, the noise from the next pub along is absolutely unreal, the bed was vibrating it was that loud! It did however, adhere to a strict 11pm curfew, so if you are out for the night anyway you won't notice. You can hear a lot of street noise, it wouldn't put me off but I'd probably request a room at the back! I'd suggest to management to install them extra double glazed windows that some places have.

Good location and first class staff. Great breakfast options.

the heating wasn't very controllable, we put the TRVs on high but the radiators were very hot

Excellent place to stay. Central to everything. Great cafe, rafting right there, great view, very clean A group of drunk people right outside our bedroom, one of whom was passed out at our door yelling and screaming

Toilet seat was loose.

The Riverbanc family room was fantastic. The room was as described with comfortable beds and plenty of space. Our room faced the road, which meant there was a fair amount of noise at times, but the noise didn't go too late into the night. We were also there during a warm period so left the windows open at night, which contributed to the noise level (Riverbanc also provided 3 fans for cooling purposes). The location is excellent for exploring the region with more to do than we had time for (and that doesn't even count the whitewater activities based out of the hotel). While the hotel didn't have parking, we were able to find on street parking and as we were out and about until after 4 pm each day, we could park overnight for free (it is one hour parking between 9am - 5 pm). The breakfast was also excellent and above and beyond our expectations. We were given menus from which to order off of and the menus had generous options. As vegetarians, there were also a wide array of savory and sweet options. The cafe drinks were also top notch (I recommend the deluxe hot chocolate:)).

Lack of parking. Having to get up at 7.30 to put a parking ticket on car in municipal carpark

Clean, convenient location, good breakfast, great view over the river from our room The bed was bouncy so when my husband moved , so did I.

The hotel was set up with simple room keypad access. The room itself was excellent and very clean and smart. breakfast was outstanding with a good selection for all tastes and accomodated a range of dietry requirements. The location of the hotel is great with access to the whole of LLangollen on the doorstep. Parking was not available at teh hotel but there are several carparks in easly walking distance and evening and early morning there are normally spaces out the front of the hotel to drop of or collect luggage. Nothing
