With rooms with attached bathroom and free Wi-Fi, Gateway Hotel is 492 feet from Clapham South Tube Station, a short walk from the open green space of Clapham Common. Clapham is a lively area with many bars, shops, restaurants, and trendy gastro pubs. With easy access to the London Underground, you can quickly reach central London, the West End or Wimbledon. Each room is slightly different from the next. All feature private bathrooms and a flat-screen TV/DVD player with Free view channels. Hotel does not a elevator. Please let the hotel know if you require a room on one of the lower floors. Smoking is strictly forbidden at the hotel. Guests will be charged a minimum of £100.00 cleaning fee if found to have been in contravention of this and will also be asked to leave without refund.

Woken up by noise from underground / trains at 6:10am

Great hotel! The price-quality ratio is right. Everything was clean! I forgot something in my room and the staff is making little effort to find and retrieve my item. That is a real shame.

It was located well, near all the facilities including the tube. It was functional and clean. There was a fan provided which was useful in the heat. However, there was a lot of noise from the road and I could hear the tube trains. There was a nearby pub/ club which was very noisy at night. The window looked out onto a brick wall, but this probably helped with noise.

Convenient for the tube, pleasant buildings with nice front garden to sit in. If booked early enough then it's possible to get rooms for a very good price! Dunno - all good..

Location Size of room particularly tiny bathroom Tiny shower and sink which has a shelf inches above taps so almost impossible to wash teeth/shave. No soap- only a half used bottle of shower gel/shampoo in shower. Felt like a basement room as there was a huge wall inches beyond the glass door. No window

The Gateway Hotel is situated near shops and excellent public transport . The room was big and airy and had everything that you needed, including everyday housekeeping. Overall I was pleased with my stay, and will come again. The toilet seat was wobbly, and the stool as well, one of the sockets did not work, couldn't put my charger in. The radiator was next to the kettle and had some stains that were not nice to see. The carpet was very old. The road noise was very annoying, couldn't sleep much.

Location was perfect - close to metro and cafes. Room was clean but very noisy at night. Noise at night. No air conditioning in a very hot London but two fans were provided which helped.
