The location Everything else. No outlets in the room except one halfway up the wall near the ceiling, was not informed of any WiFi and no obvious WiFi to connect to, no AC, beds were rickety wire cots; one was broken and mended with a wooden plank. Room was generally dilapidated. Shared bathroom for some rooms. No lift. Window wouldn’t stay open.

Room was very large. They went to some effort to keep rooms clean ... But then, bizarrely, left dirty washing strewn about the stairs. Overpriced. Clearly needs maintenance; cold tap didn't work, (shared) toilet door didn't close properly, curtains falling off, etc.

It was indeed a peaceful stay. Good price for two nights. The location was convenient, as I walked to the destination. Restaurants, supermarkets and all the other amenities are around the hotel. Staff (Amal and Varun) are helpful and understanding. Great location in central London. I have a suggestion for its improvement. The washrooms are clean, but they need to be a bit more modernized and require some minor adjustments.

The room was not clean.

Good location. Polite staff. Run down hotel. No shampoo or soap in shower. No iron! Got a clean bed to sleep in, not much more. More like a hostel than a hotel.

Very good location, a few minutes to the British Museum. Very friendly and helpful staff. There should be more attention to cleaning.

The bed was dirty, with hair on it and a bad smell. The windows were old, could not be opened, and there was no ventilation. Access to the room was very difficult, through stairs and corridors like a maze. Even the internet signal does not reach the room, which made the stay even worse. These conditions caused me serious discomfort and ruined my experience. I therefore demand a refund of half of the amount paid as fair compensation for the unacceptable service.

Actually nothing Appalling. I have no idea how this hotel is still listed on Booking.com. Thannet Hotel Annex was a complete disaster. The room was dirty, neglected, and disgusting – there were dead insects on the bathtub and windowsills, a filthy carpet, a moldy wardrobe, a dirty toilet and bathtub, and even a water tap without a handle. The entire room smelled awful and it was obviously not cleaned in months. On top of that, I had strong suspicions of bedbugs, so I left immediately. The staff were completely useless and didn’t offer any solution – no apology, no help, nothing. We had to book a different hotel last-minute, which was much more expensive. And to make it worse, Booking.com refunded me less than half of what I paid. No proper compensation, just empty promises of credits – which never arrived. The pictures on Booking.com are completely misleading. This hotel is a scam. It should be removed from the platform immediately. If you value your money, your time, and your basic hygiene, stay far, far away from this place.
