Brilliant location for us to explore London using the tube and on foot. Great rooms and friendly staff. I periodically stay in London as we like to see westend shows, I will definitely book this hotel again. In fact it's part of the Grange group, I'll look for others in this group in future. I got upgraded to breakfast because of my genius level on Booking.com, however we were not offered full cooked breakfast only continental as the waiting staff we weren't able to have it because it wasn't part of the ' booking' . This needs made clearer on website, that only continental breakfast is provided through the Booking.com website.

Close to The British museum

Fantastic location. We booked the Beachamp as had stayed there before and loved it. We got moved to the Clarendon which is not as nice and didn’t have the facilities we had paid for. They made it up to us with a complimentary breakfast.

Good

Great location for access to British Museum, Covent Garden, theatres etc. Upgraded to suite (to compensate for booking issues - thank you). Plenty of good bars, restaurants and amenities nearby and close to tube station (Russell Square and Tottenham Court Road). Hotel interior is a little run down, needs redecorating in most areas, appeared to have had water leaks in several places including reception and our room, and loose floor tiles in bathrooms (also needing general upgrade). Building site immediately next door very loud and active every day from 8am onwards.

The hotel was in a great location, easy transport links and heaps of food options nearby. The room was a generous size, much larger than a standard London room which was great for our family of 4. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Superb

The bed was comfy. That's about it. Really. To list this as 4 stars is VERY misleading. My room door used a metal lock key, not a swipe card. So any previous guest could have duplicated it and break in. In addition, the room number was taped to the key. Even less security. And inside the room there was no lock or latch to keep you safe when in the room. The whole room smelled old and dirty. The bathroom was extremely old. For the money there are hundreds of better hotels in London.

Lovely building. Central but still quiet Had a little issue with room when arrived as gave us wrong one but soon resolved. Great would definitely stay there again

Location, proximity to transit and restaurants. Damp rooms, dirty and stained carpets inside and outside the rooms. Mold in bathrooms, dated facilities.

Location fantastic - walking distance from both Euston and the theatre district. Beautiful park & British Museum both just a 2 minute walk away. Staff very helpful - we were able to leave our luggage for a few hours on the day of our departure. Tea & coffee, shampoos etc - all quality products provided. Air conditioning a bit noisy & bathroom décor a little tired but neither impacted negatively on our visit. TV had very few channels available (standard UK channels such as Dave came up 'channel unavailable'), but we were out most of the time anyway.

Location is great, safe neighborhood, 2 mins from a park, 5 mins to the metro, and walking distance 15 to 20 mins to many interesting areas such as Soho, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and Chinatown, with many restaurants, museums, theaters, shops, etc.

Excellent location Good sized rooms Good breakfast Quite noisy at night as room had air conditioning unit outside bedroom, could also hear people walking around upstairs. Luckily had ear plugs with us!
