The highlight is the very kind staff and the location. I was expecting more from the breakfast for the price and for the comments I read. It would be nice if they had pancakes/waffle included in the breakfast (you needed to pay an extra price for it). Also I was expecting more variety of pastries/cakes/pies.

Customer service was excellent. Assigned to room 214. The room had a stairway to the restroom making it difficult for us as seniors.

Perfect location. Very good breakfast. Very friendly staff, always happy to help the guests. The afternoon tea and scones are highly recommended! All in all, in my perspective, this hotel is at "textbook" level. A minor one: Please maintain the good standard of food. Omelette on day 1 was too soft. Omelette on day 2 was quite good.

Montague on the Gardens is just across the street from The British Museum and 1/2 block from Russell Square, so it's very convenient to the Underground, to attractions in the Bloomsbury District, and close to many theatres. Our ground floor room was quite spacious for a London hotel, and the bathroom had plenty of space for our cosmetic bags. The shower was superb. Staff were very attentive and kind. The lovely biscuits brought to our room at teatime was an unexpected and much appreciated treat. I hope we get to stay there again our our next visit. I didn't find time to spend in the gardens! I'll be sure to rectify that on my next visit. Breakfast is not included in the rate, but is offered as an add-on. We didn't do that, so I can't comment on breakfast. Maybe next time.

I cannot say enough about this hotel! The Montague is an example of a fine, classic luxury London hotel (at a more reasonable price). The decor makes one feel right at home...woodwork and fixtures gleaming. The location is wonderful...on a quiet street but near to transportation. The bar, off-the-lobby breakfast room and restaurant were welcoming and the food excellent. The real stars of the hotel, however, are the staff, from the maids to the manager. Not one single thing was amiss!

Staff were wonderful There was a gratuity charge included in the bill but I still didn’t know if I should tip staff as they were helping all the time and I was not sure if they were to be tipped each time or was the gratuity charge covering it

The reception staff provided assistance and were accommodating. The valet car parking facility was available, eliminating the need to search for parking spaces. Breakfast options were sufficient. I made the choice to have steak for dinner, anticipating a satisfying meal. However, when it finally arrived, I found myself feeling disappointed. The meat did not taste like meat and lacked the rich flavour I had hoped for, leaving me unsatisfied with my dinner choice.
