Clean and close to underground!

It’s in a nice, safe area. The hotel seems rather new. It is clean. Though compact it has everything that’s needed for a comfortable stay. For the money I paid and by London standard I think it’s exceptional. From a user friendly pov it’d have been nice to have a small chair and small side table to drink my coffee. The check in was a bit of a hiccup as I couldn’t get my digital room key due to weak wifi (hotel)/network (mine).

Location was good. Details weren’t looked after, empty soap containers, broken room components, not thoroughly cleaned, app based room keys was flaky.

Nothing I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was by far the most disappointing hotel experience I’ve ever had. I booked a Roost room because the photos on Booking.com clearly showed an above ground hotel room with a proper window. Instead, when I arrived on June 22, I was assigned room AL17, which is underground. Calling it a room with a “window” is extremely misleading. The only opening was a narrow slit near the ceiling facing a wall only about 30-50 cm away. There was no view, and no sense that you were above ground. It felt more like a storage basement than a hotel room. I immediately explained that this was not the room I had booked or expected. The night manager cannot provide a suitable alternative that evening, leaving me with no reasonable option except to leave for another hotel What upset me most was not simply being given a poor room, but being told that this basement room belonged to the same room category as the bright, normal rooms shown in the listing. In my opinion, that is highly misleading to guests. If basement rooms like AL17 exist, they should be clearly disclosed before booking so guests can make an informed decision.

My stay at The Drey was perfect, it my first time there and it did not dissappoint. The staff was excelent and helpful, very nice and welcoming

Room too small , no where to put clothes or luggage, no fan , dreary and dungeon like,not even a chair , no tv, no fridge or tv

Luggage storage has a charge of £10/bag. I did not expect this as most hotels don’t charge for short term storage.

The price and location were great. Hottest day in history and no cups for days at the only ice/water area. Just lids. Also handicapped bar fell off the wall in the bathroom. My mother in-law almost broke a hip. No one seemed to care. Was screwed into the drywall with no supports so shotty install for sure.

Lovely stay, just a 2 minute walk to the tube and an M&S grocery store. Comfortable beds, clean room, very tight as expected but still enough space to open a giant suitcase

Location is phenomenal with easy access to underground and restaurants. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Keyless entry was smooth and easy to access. There is abolutely zero space to place luggage. We understand that the rooms are mimimalist but even simple luggage stands would have been nice. We had to place everything on the floor which is not ideal. Additionally, the fact that the hotel charges 10 pounds to store each piece of luggage feels cheap and something I wouldn't expect for the price of the hotel. Nickel and diming guests doesn't seem like the best way to retain clients.

Clean and the interior was so updated and beautiful Good location

I was not aware from the booking that I would not have a window in my room. Felt like sleeping in a bunker.

It's a perfect stay, nothing to complain about! Lovely room and very nice staff!

No table/chair in the room. Need to pay extra for storing the luggage if you are check-in or check-out early.

In our first room the AC didn’t work. The hotel moved us but if other rooms hadn’t been available it would’ve been a very uncomfortable stay.

Comfy beds, Distance to public transport. Size of the room, not value for money. Wash basin right next to the bed. cannot move 2 person together with the space available. No breakfast, lot of partnerships (vending machines, Gym). One staff was really helpful but the overall experience left a lot to desire.

I initially booked for two nights and ended up extending my stay for an additional two nights. The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from the metro station, and the area felt very safe. The room was spotless, and daily housekeeping kept everything clean and tidy throughout my stay. The only drawbacks were that the room was quite small and did not include a fridge or TV.

Clean, simple, great location. Could have used a tiny bit more space. No where to put suitcases or unpack them. Could have used a chair for putting on make-up. A bit cramped for 5 adults.
