The Captain Cook Hotel
About The Captain Cook Hotel
This boutique hotel is located in southwest London. It has 8 rooms with either en-suite or shared bathrooms. Every room has a 42-in TV, WiFi access, super king size beds and coffee machines. The hotel’s location is less than 3 miles from London's museums and the Royal Albert Hall, and there are multiple parks nearby. The city bike scheme has a docking station directly adjacent to the building, which provides guests the option to explore the city on two wheels. The hotel itself is located above a pub of the same name, and serves British/French cuisine all week long, as well as live music nights and a quintessentially English quiz on Sunday evenings. The Captain Cook is located just a mile away from Craven Cottage and Stamford Bridge, where many football games are held.

Everything.. it was cozy and for my needs well located.

Spotlessly clean and delicious food! The bathroom was small but it’s not like they can do anything to make it bigger
-
The bed was so comfortable and warm The windows 2; inch gap in the bathroom window Right at the top only way to reach was by standing on the toilet seat and reaching up to put a rolled up towel only blocks the draft coming in still very noisy from the two main windows with cars and the planes going over !! If they upgrade the windows would of been great

Comfy room with nice decor, pretty comfortable bed, great pillows, couldn’t hear a lot of noise from the pub below. Windows have no sound insulation and could hear traffic noise and noise from people yelling outside.

The listing clearly stated that even though our bathroom would not be en suite, it would be right across the hall from our room and for our private use only. Neither of those things was true and it should be reflected in the listing that the bathroom is shared and is up a flight of stairs.
-
Surprised at size and comfort of the room. Separate entrance for the room, detached from the pub with own key/. Staff friendly and helpful.
-
Large room, opening windows, portable aircon The pub was noisy - had Kids screaming down a microphone for hours on a Sunday evening. Glasses dirty, no ice.

The sink wouldn't drain.

Great Room Noise from the bar was an issue.

The location was perfect for us. The pub was great. We ate there before heading out and the food was delicious. In fact the apple crumble was the best ever. Rooms are a really good size with plenty of tea, coffee and milk provided. The staff were super friendly. We would defo stay again It wasn't that we didn't like it, but there are lots of stairs, so maybe not ideal for those with mobility issues

Easy to find and easy to get to Stamford Bridge for a match.

Lovely accommodation over a very nice pub/restaurant. Had dinner in the restaurant and it was fantastic. I mean, really, really good. Very impressed. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely return. The location is great for anyone going to a Fulham or Chelsea football match. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bathroom down the hall from room, so not ensuite for our room. I'm sure other rooms are ensuite, so be sure to ask for this when booking. Only a small inconvenience though.

Staff were great. Tapas food in pub below was great Dangerous bathroom across and along corridor. After booking, was asked if I’d like to upgrade to a private bathroom, which I did. (I had not realised it wasn’t.) External bathroom has dangerous step, marked with hazard tape, that would make it very easy to break an ankle.

The bar area was very well presented but unfortunately the hotel area was not. The shower area was poor. Shower was hanging off the wall. I had to crouch to have a shower as the head was so low due to hanging off the wall.

Very central and convenient
