The room was air conditioned, the front desk guy was nice, WiFi worked Room was a 5th floor walk up, barely room to pass by the side of the bed, no hot water.

The hotel is a 1-minute walk from Paddington Station, yet somewhat secluded on a nice square with a lot of trees/shade. Because of its position, it is rather quiet. It is also within walking distance of many locations worth visiting when in London (Notting Hill, Hyde Park etc.). We had the smallest room ever, but it was ok to us since we just needed a good and clean room for sleeping. The advantage of this room is that it is air-conditioned, which was great since we were in London during the June heatwave. The bathroom is brand new, and the room was very clean. Since there is no elevator, a member of the staff helped us with our baggage. I firmly believe I would choose this hotel again when I come to London the next time. The mattress was somewhat soft, but I am aware you cannot please everyone with such details; someone probably prefers soft mattresses.

The location is great, one block from Paddington Station. Walking distance to many pubs and restaurants. No elevator was brutal, had to carry bags up and down narrow staircase. The second night a heatwave hit London and the ac was just blowing hot air.

It's an old house, so small (but clean) rooms and lots of stairs (no lift)

Great location, clean and tidy rooms Not so much dislike it just awareness of size of rooms/shower and stairs if you have luggage.

There was no breakfast provided, but there was coffee and tea in the room. The location was everything. A perfect location for everything we wanted to do. The room and the bathroom were small. The light switch for the bathroom was not IN the bathroom.

Fabulous location, friendly staff and terrific value in my opinion. Perfect for my short stay!

The ensuite bathroom was small but nicely appointed. The ground floor room had thenmost amazing.windows and view! There are so many excellent restaurants steps away and for sightseeing, its quite walkable to the Hyde Park area. We will absolutely stay again. I would have appreciated somewhere to hang coats or clothes. We only stayed one night, but had it been longer, it would have been challenging to stay organized. A small desk would be something to consider. I would upgrade the bed frame eventually. I caught my foot on it a couple of times. Lastly, there was a delivery of what looked like laundry or linens blocking an exterior and interior doorway over night. This is a dangerous fire hazard. Hopefully not the norm, but important to be aware of.

The room could do with a few additional items to reflect the price. It had a kettle but the sink was so small you had to be inventive to fill it up. Maybe a small coffee machine. A small shelf or unit in the bathroom to put your wash bag on. I asked for an extra blanket but they said they didn’t have any.

Signage on outside not easy to see in the dark.
