Vincent House London Residence

Disappointing

The location in Nothing Hill is great, very close to the underground. The room was quiet with a view to the garden. I had also a good breakfast. No ac in the room,can be hot in the summer.

Vincent house is in a quite, yet very central location with friendly, kind, warm staff. Great breakfast. The bed and room, as a whole, were very comfortable. Nothing.

We love Vincent House and are devastated to hear it’s closing down after all these years of regular visits.

Great location, generous breakfast, kind staff Room was very basic and slightly dated, no A/C. But for just a one night solo stay it was all I needed.

Pleasant and quiet location, very convenient for Notting Hill Gate. Comfortable room, and the bath was a bonus. Cooked breakfast buffet doesn't really work- lukewarm and a bit tired. Not a big problem as there was plenty of other choice.

This is a unique place. A gem cut in the 1930s and as little changed as the insertion of some modern facilities allows An excellent buffet breakfast was served. There was a lounge/bar with the bar open until late. And a pleasant shady garden. The staff were friendly and helpful and reception was manned 24 hours a day. The card for access to the room worked perfectly. The location is unbeatable: less than 5 minutes walk from Notting Hill Gate tube station and buses and close to Hyde Park and Portobello Road but quiet, with little traffic. If it were not about to close it would be the only place in London I would ever stay at. Actually nothing, except I shall not be able to stay there again as it is closing. Some people might have missed air conditioning but I loved the windows you could open, wiith a view of gardens, and the room was perfectly cool Only one lift is working and is vintage, with an outer wooden door and an iron lattice door that needs to be slammed firmly shut, and you read the floor numbers off the floor plinths as you go up. Of course I adored it.

Garden and lounge were a plus. Staff was very helpful. Location was excellent. Neighborhood was pleasant for walking.

Vincent House was absolutely perfect in every way. It was our first visit there and I couldn't fault it at all. It had so much to offer and was in a perfect location. We were very sad to learn that the property is closing at the end of August though as we were hoping to stay there next time we visit London. A little gem of a place that I'm sure will be sadly missed by many.

A great location, easy walk to Underground Notting Hill Gate; clean, modernised room; great public areas and garden was appreci iated; breakfast was substantial and reception staff were friendly and helpful. Interesting history - it started as a Club for professionals. Nothing really

No elevator during the 3 days of my stay

Lovely relaxing garden, comfy bed, nice to have a fridge in the room. Clean and well equipped. The breakfast was nice aside from the eggs being undercooked and the sausages were overcooked but everything else was good.

Good facilities - including communal lounge - use of garden - availability of evening meal - substantial breakfast - laundry facilities . Nothing to dislike - suited my circumstances.

Location. I'm gluten intolerant and the choice at breakfast was limited.
