Room very small, bed pushed up against the wall and very hot

Very good location. Clean, friendly staff.

Budget friendly and you get a place to stay in a busy London. The room such as the bed sheets and pillows had stains on them and it wasn't clean. Some of the finishings such as the toilet paper holder, hook on the bathroom door were loose and not tightened.

Good area. Staff wasn't welcoming at all at check in. I booked two nights separately and paid for both nights at check in. They woke me up by calling my room and hanging up on my face the next morning because I assume they thought I was to check out despite it was stated in their system I was staying two nights which I already paid for. The next morning I was 20 minutes late for check out and the staff came into my room unlocking the door without even knocking on the door. The room was insanely small so I barely managed to open my suitcase and when I did that I had to jump up and down the bed as there was no way to walk to the other side of the room. Bathroom was dirty with the previous guest's used up soap and shower gel lying around open in the shower area. Also room was in the basement floor, which wasn't specified at booking.com when I booked it.

The staff were very friendly and allowed me to have a late check-out. I then extended my stay and was offered a better rate. Can pay both in cash and with cc. It's a quiet location, and despite the room being small, it feels very homely and comfy. Great value for money, considering the location and it being a last-minute booking. My bed is extra comfortable, had a great night's sleep. Lovely views over the communal gardens, and the road is not very busy, so noise is minimal. I had lots of luggage and for a simple yet beautiful Georgian townhouse, it has a lift! That's a big bonus, not carrying luggage to the 3rd floor :) no shower curtain, so the water spills in the bathroom, need extra towels but that's not a huge issue if not staying for a long period. I was given extra towels when asked. My chair is bit wobbly, and if I had stayed longer, I would have asked to replace it, but I will just let them know when I check out.

staff was nice and location was alright moldy air, noisey walls

  • Engine customer Sep 2024

Unbearably hot with only a small portable air cond. So hot that I got no sleep at all. Miserable experience and couldn’t wait to leave. To be fair decor and facilities good and staff ok, but I would have traded both for somewhere I could sleep.

Nothing at all The room was very dirty with a smell of coconut oil, all dust in the ground, floor was noisy, furniture is too old I think from Victorian ages or world war 1. Toilet and shower was like a petrol station toilet.Reception staff extremely sad and working in a low battery mode. Never again was a big mistake.

It's located in a reasonably good spot, which is a quiet area and not far from shops and the tube. Staff were reasonably friendly. Clearly they don't spend much time cleaning properly. We were in the basement and got woken up by staff moving about and talking early in the morning. We can only assume the good reviews were from friends who got to stay in specially prepared rooms.

Clean room, good communication with reception prior to arrival. Breakfast didn’t have any hot option so we opted to go out for breakfast

  • Engine customer Aug 2024

The room was definitely not an executive double room, the walls had marks all over, the carpet was ripped.

  • Engine customer Aug 2024

Near to where I wanted to be. Room very small filthy, dusty, not worth the money, poor English speaking staff. Did not adhere to DND and entered Room when I was out. Had to ask for Iron. Took my payment before I arrived. Did not specify to bring ID. Poor water supply. Will not return.

Brilliant it had a lift. The room was compact but clean with a hairdryer and fan. The reception area was nicely decorated Terrible noise from other guests, slamming doors throughout were so loud. The doors were flimsy. Loud music and voices late at night in the corridor Staff unfriendly THEY ADVERTISE ON BOOKING.COM AND IN THEIR OWN BOOK IN THE ROOM A LUGGAGE ROOM, ONLY REASON I BOOKED BUT THEN SAID THERE IS NO LUGGAGE ROOM

Location Our room was described as an "Executive Double Room" - it had a very small shower/toilet room with no functioning extractor fan, on the window side of the small room, the roof sloped across the bed giving very little head room for even a small person, my partner is 5' tall and had to be very careful. Although there was a breakfast it wasn't much for the £10, no cooked food. In our opinion, not worth the money paid.

    Very good
