Magic Castle Hotel

The place is old and needs some serious remodeling and the breakfast was a joke. Mostly pre-packaged stuff.

the snacks & popsicles were good! staff helped out so much with answering our questions and even helped carry out things.

Staff was great

I loved the amazing staff! So friendly and always trying their best to make everyone happy. The quirky additions that other hotels don't do such as free popsicles, drinks, snacks and laundry. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and sleeping in the lounge meant that when there were noisy people in the pool during the night I was kept awake. The beds in the bedroom were lovely, its just unfortunate for the poor person sleeping on the sofa bed in the lounge.

Staff are friendly and attentive and, as this is a former apartment block, the rooms are huge with a full kitchen, separate living room with a sofa bed and large master bedroom. This gave us plenty of space travelling with two adult children, and meant we were able to relax fully. T

Loved everything about it! Quirky and fun! Good value too and very friendly staff. Excellent quality snacks for purchase from the fridge! Noisy a/c is all!

The staff were amazing, pool was great, breakfast was lovely, free snacks, free ice cream and unlimited soft drinks were great. Room was clean and very spacious. Lovely evenings spent by the pool watching a movie. Great location, walkable to walk of fame, but out of the way so it’s quiet.

Negatives would be the hotel rooms are in need of updating eg flooring, kitchen and bathroom fittings and the sofa bed is more suitable for kids than adults. Overall we were a bit disappointed with the quality of the room, however to get an affordable room with 3 beds (travelling as family of 4 adults) with a pool is quite tricky. If you are a family with young children, I would definitely recommend this hotel as the hotel staff, pool and the unlimited drinks and snacks would outweigh the quality of the room.

Great location, super friendly and helpful staff Nothing

The rooms were wonderful for our family of 5. We loved the layout. The pool area was nice as well. But the draw for my family was the breakfast, soft serves, popsicle hotline, free snacks and magic shows at breakfast. The movie nights were also a big hit. We thought it was very family friendly and I’d recommend it to anyone to try because I don’t think you’d be disappointed!

This is a really fun place to stay at. If you have kids they will love it. It’s an older building with thin walls but the service and experience is second to none. No other hotel offers the amenities that this place does. If you want to WOW your kids then this is the place. The pool is nice and warm, free fountain drinks and soft serve ice cream. A long list of premium snacks all for free. We have never stayed at another hotel that was this fun! Had a free double shot of espresso on our way out, better than Starbucks.

We honestly loved the property. It felt very homey. My kids loved it. We loved the amenities. Having free laundry services was amazing. We just overall loved our stay! The floors in the room need redone pretty badly. Other then that we loved the property.

The hotel manager and staff were amazing. Room was clean, parking was easy, and the environment was fun and friendly. We were able to easily walk to Hollywood blvd and felt safe. Had an amazing vacation seeing The Phantom of the Opera with my sister and daughter.

Excellent hotel for a family needing space. Enough snacks to feed hungry teenagers

We had a very short stay, but the staff were welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are clean and spacious and feels like old LA. The perks offered are also great additions especially for families with younger kids. Our 6 year old was absolutely sold with the popsicle hotline and snacks. Looking forward to booking here again for a longer stay.
