The Hotel was wonderful and clean. I really enjoyed the location and how friendly they were. Super clean!! The beds were hard. It wasn't a game changer but do know that they are hard which is typical to mattresses of SE Asia.

Villa Wanika is in a great location and the rooms and comfortable. The staff is very helpful with booking anything you may need. The breakfast is a croissant and instant coffee. The croissants were good but it’s good to know this is what breakfast is.

Everything- One of the staff showed us several rooms, all the rooms in the basement are full of mold and smelly. We took a room upstairs which was simply filthy - there were hairs and stains on the sheets, the floor was full of dust balls. There is no mosquito net on the windows and the room we entered had an open window so there were a few mosquitoes. The bed was really uncomfortable. The "breakfast" included in the price - a croissant that is placed next to the coffee and banana that are always there, in our opinion this is not a proper solution and it is recommended to remove it from the website if there really is no breakfast.

Breakfast could be better. There is only croissants and coffee and thee.

The location was fantastic. And the room was very clean It says breakfast provided. It means stale croissants and instant coffee with creamer. I think better to just not say breakfast is included at all. Also I realise this isn't your fault but there is a rooster very close to that building that is up from 3am making noise every 3-5 minutes. So you need to mention that it's quite noisy so people can prepare and bring ear plugs. It's so loud I could not get back to sleep after it started.

Breakfast very poor Everything

Beautiful small villa with great attention to detail. Very tastefully decorated, not cluttery, very clean, no plastic (plastic bags, water bottles etc.). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had high quality pastries, bananas and tea/coffee from 7-11am. Refillable water was really appreciated. Great central location, the street is really cute and is near the river. We really enjoyed our stay in large part to the great hotel. Bring earplugs, there is street noise, roosters and the sound insulation is not the best. Space is tight but the common seating areas make up for it. Wifi can be finicky. For those that don't eat pastries (like me), it would be nice if there was more fruit options. All of these things are expected but just pointing it out if they are important.

This property has an excellent location and was spotlessly clean. Staff were very professional. Especially Josh! Spotlessly clean. Excellent location.

Great location, friendly helpful staff, firm beds and roosters near by.

Excellent location. Close to the main street as well as the river. Very friendly and helpful staff. There is a rooster in the neighbourhood that starts his singing very early in the morning so unless you’re an early riser, you’re going to get woken up.

I received a friendly welcome in pretty good English. I was offered a choice of harder or softer mattress; I chose the harder (which was comfortable), but had I been staying longer I might have asked for a change to the softer option The room was well designed except... . I would have liked either a bedside light or a switch near the head-end of the bed to turn out the main light.

Loved the location within Luang Prabang. Friendly staff. Villa Wanika was a short (for us) stay in Luang Prabang as we transferred from Nong Khiaw to Vang Vieng. Quick, efficient checking in was welcome after a longish road trip. Situated so close to much of what we like in Luang Prabang, we were able to make the most of our short stay here. We were offered a bed topper upon check in, and after a quick bed hardness check, took them up on their offer. Means that the hotel does read reviews and respond. Appreciated. Our room and bathroom was a little dated and could do with some renovation, but this was reflected in the price we paid so we were more than happy.

Great personnel, ready to help you. The balcony with a view was great too! Also perfect location in a heart of old town. It felt that it was an overpriced offer compared to what you get - the room is fine but for this price it should be in a slightly better condition. It also felt more as a guesthouse. Please add more love and care to your place :)
