Quiet location and beautiful large grounds. Very clean Good breakfast with friendly staff Free bikes were fun to use The pool was refreshing Connecting rooms The rooms were gloomy, quite cold with fluorescent light. We did visit during winter but our two rooms felt dark and dank and didn’t have the freshest smell. The lighting didn’t help the ambience in the rooms. The reception staff were helpful in their own way but it didn’t feel warm and welcoming. We felt the rooms were quite expensive for what we got

We enjoyed the days we spent in Luang Prabang and our stay at le Parasol Blanc provided the ultimate holiday feeling. The location of the resort is unique, an oasis of nature still near the city centre and the river. Extremely friendly and helpful staff!!! They arranged a private boat tour and a trip to the Kuangsi waterfall for us. The laundry service is perfect and affordable. Having breakfast in the tropical garden was a good start of the day. Our stay in Luang Prabang was a highlight during our trip thanks to hotel le Parasol Blanc and its staff. Many thanks!!! Everything was perfect

The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The free shuttle service into town was great. We were in a really quiet but safe area not too far from the town centre. The breakfast in the morning was really good. It was a great bonus that the restaurant served meals from breakfast to dinner, so we were able to eat late lunch. They recommended the spa at their sister hotel, Villa Maly, and organised to drop us and pick us up again and the Laotian massage was really good. nothing to say - everything was perfect.

This was our first ever visit to Laos, and we started off in Luang Prabang at the Parasol Blanc. We were initially slightly hesitant to book it, as it was quite expensive and a bit further away from the town centre than some of the other guest houses. In the end, we thought we’d give it a chance for a holiday treat as the photos on booking looked so good. We absolutely do not regret it. In the hustle and bustle of Luang Prabang, the hotel is an oasis of calmness and serenity. Everything is lush and green, and the lily pond at the centre of the hotel is beautifully picturesque, the soft sounds of the water providing a soothing backdrop to meals taken at the hotel restaurant. The rooms are lovely as well, with large and comfortable beds, lots of space around the sink to put one’s toiletries, and a full sized walk-in shower with a waterfall shower head. Everything was nice and clean, with good quality furnishings and fluffy towels. The individual balconies are very pleasant, with comfortable chairs to relax in and enjoy the atmosphere. The breakfast at the hotel is marvellous. There is a wide range of food to suit all tastes, be that savoury or sweet, hot or cold, western or more traditional Laos fare. Everything is tasty and fresh, and the staff are always on hand for tea and coffee, and to replace anything that runs out. The evening restaurant is also very nice, with lots of choice and delicious meals. We unfortunately did not use the pool as we were too busy, but it looks lovely, and never seemed to be too crowded. Maybe next time! A special mention goes to the hotel staff, who were exceptionally kind and helpful, always going above and beyond to help us with any little requests, or to help us organise our transfers and activities. Thank you to the manager, assistant manager, and the rest of the staff for their warm welcome, and their smiles and kindness during our stay. Nothing much really - A few slight negatives, or rather things to keep in mind when booking (but certainly not enough to put us off the hotel!): -Although all rooms are virtually identical on the inside and are very nice, depending on the location of the room your view will be more or less pleasant. Our first room was in a perfectly suitable location on the ground floor near reception, but we mostly had a view onto the courtyard at the front of the hotel. Our second room was on the first floor and had a view onto leafy greenery and the pond in the background. Certainly not the end of the world, but worth keeping in mind. -There isn’t much storage in the room itself, other than in the bathroom. There is a place to hang clothes, with 4-5 hangers (you can request more at reception), and single long shelf, but no drawers or smaller shelves. Again, not a big deal for people staying 1-2 nights, possibly more of a pain for people staying 5-6 nights who might wish to unpack, or if there are two people sharing the room. -The walls are quite thin, so you can hear your neighbours, both from the side and from below. You can also hear the road outside, which isn’t very busy but will have the occasional motorbike roaring past, as well as the houses next to the hotel, which will sometimes play music late into the night. A pair of earplugs will more than solve the problem - or you can just say it’s part of the atmosphere of Luang Prabang and just roll with it! BUT in summary, we absolutely recommend the Parasol Blanc to anyone who wants to experience a little slice of paradise whilst in Luang Prabang - you definitely won’t regret booking a stay here, and we will definitely book here again when we next come back to Laos!

Super location and very friendly staff. The hotel provides transport into town if you’re not up for the 10 minute walk. Avoid 8am breakfast it’s a bit of a bun fight with very loud French women. Maid service leaves a little to be desired. The bed was straightened but apart from that nothing during our 4 night stay.

Beautiful garden. Comfortable beds. Great communicating rooms for families. Quiet location in a local neighbourhood. Walking to the touristy part of town was a bit far with young kids but very easy to take the hotel shuffle and tuk tuk back.

The staff was really welcoming and nice. The beds were really comfortable as well. Other than that we really appreciated the shuttle to downtown. We had quite high expectations due of the nice pictures, unfortunately they were not completed. But at the end, it is still a nice hotel.

Everything was absolutely amazing! The service was first class and the hotel truly beautiful, well kept and clean. The garden is very luscious and green, it makes you feel like you're in the jungle. The hotel also provides free shuttle service that will drop you off anywhere within the town. The pool is very nice as well. And the lily pond is so beautiful! This hotel should have a minimum of 4 stars, if not 5! The hotel alone already makes me want to return to Luang Prabang! Nothing! It's a 15 minute walk from the night market area but if you don't want to walk you can easily get a tuktuk.

We stayed for a week and loved every moment. The staff were incredibly kind, making us feel at home. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent, with great options for everyone, including vegans (soy milk was a nice touch!) The pool was beautiful, and the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the main road. The complimentary tuk-tuk service was super convenient too. Highly recommend this hotel for a perfect stay in Luang Prabang!

Great staff, lovely garden, clean and comfortable room. Great location (very calm and 10 mn walk from center, 2 mn by scooter) Breakfast : limited choice, low quality fruit juices, poor coffee, have to pay extra to get something of better quality (such as expresso coffee)

It's a very sweet hotel, with a restaurant on a pond and plenty of green plants and trees around. The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful. The food was rather basic.

Cozy and nice place with good food and atmosphere.
