What really made a difference with this Microtel was the breakfast. In addition to the usual waffles, cereal, bagels, etc. they served scrambled eggs, sausage links, and a daily special (one day was biscuits and gravy, the other was corned beef hash). And their juice machine worked (my experience is that in about half of the hotels I stay in the juice machine is out of order). They also have a very helpful breakfast attendant who keeps the breakfast area clean and the food area well stocked - he is a gem! The only down side to this location is that the odd-numbered rooms are separated from the 501 Highway by their parking lot and not much else so there can be a bit of road noise, but nothing that ear plugs or a white-noise generator can't take care of. Beds are fairly firm. They do have an elevator and an exercise room. Great place to stay for the price.

Very nice hotel very clean. Breakfast could’ve been better. I stayed five nights and slept very well.

Good location, some noise from hallway and above but that happens in all hotels of this price point

Outside pavilion with fireplace was nice Breakfast was a joke. They claim it's different everyday but it's not. They take away muffins that's the only difference. And it tasted horrible, I didn't touch it after the first day, it was that bad. Apple juice was even watered down. The elevator broke down while there and they had to transfer us to a new room, which was very dirty. I wish there was at least a partial refund for all we had to deal with.

Elvis the gentleman who sets up the breakfast was fantastic and the staff that arrived the next day were great. Room was clean and welcoming. I will come back because of our experience at breakfast with Elvis, the next day Managers, and the room. When I arrived on the property, late in the evening, the young lady that checked me in was cold and indifferent. I felt like, I (an African American woman) was not welcome there. I felt like I never wanted to come back. If it were not for everyone on the next day, I would not return to the hotel ever again. You shouldn't have racist people work in hospitality. Front-line staff need to act welcoming to everyone. Money is "GREEN" not white.
