Baymont by Wyndham Madison West/Middleton WI West

Our room had a musty smell that lingered the whole stay. The breakfast buffet was small but relatively good and fresh. Did not use the pool or fitness center. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming.

My pool side sliding door had a broken pole on it. That pole is to prevent others from breaking in. The hairdryer didn't work. The remote had the cover on the back to hold the batteries in was missing. The alarm clock randomly went off in the morning when we did not set it. The lady who was doing the breakfast didn't speak or under English. When I asked her a question she just knotted her head yes amd smiled. It was not a yes or no question either. Front deak staff were very nice and helpful.

The bad point is there isn't much insulation between the rooms. The room next to us was extremely loud, we think they had friends come over and talked all night both nights. We said something at breakfast the first morning and nothing changed. I went down to the front desk the second night and no one was there. It looked like no one had been there for a few hours since the front desk looked like it hadn't been occupied and the office behind the desk was dark. We won't be staying here the next time we go to Madison to visit family.

TV was broken and there was no solution. Room clean, especially the linens. Check in and out quick and efficient

Could use a bigger tv another wise it was amazing.

I will also mention I did not see any signs for an elevator. We stayed on the first floor, so I did not have a need for 1, but if you do need one, maybe call head to confirm or make sure they give you a 1st floor room. Some things in room 167 could use an upgrade such as grungy tile groute, for fabric on the recliner chair etc. The ac unit also had a musty chemical smell coming from it. The king mattress was too firm for my preference but it worked out fine for 1 night. I paid around $100 for a Thursday night room. If you pay much more than that, not sure its worth it, but compared to how pricey other hotels in madison are it was overall a good deal and a decent stay.

Clean and neat. Large pool. Bed was really comfortable and room had all the amenities. Amazing breakfast selection and delicious!

The morning I left there was water coming out of the vent on the bathroom ceiling. More than likely an overflow from the guests above. Otherwise no issues with the workers, they were all great!

The property is showing its age. It looks like it used to be really nice and now it’s not being kept up like it used to be. My room was clean, but tiles were broken on the bathroom floor, shower curtain was torn from use, just little things like that. It was nice enough, but it isn’t like it looks in the photos on line.

It was clean They promised to switch my room but the next day they said they couldn’t. The plumbing was awful the sink and bathtub would fill up with every use.

This is a okay hotel. It was clean ish. It’s showing its age. The pictures are out dated, they were taken when it was new and shiny. That was a while ago. It was represented nicer than it was.
