After getting up very early with not much sleep to catch a train at Barcelona-Sants, we arrived in Madrid-Atocha, jet-lagged and disoriented. Since we were way too early for check-in, we decided to learn the metro system and take the subway to Tirso de Molina Station near Catalonia Puerta Del Sol. The strategy worked only halfway because by the time we got above the ground, it was still well before noon, and it was raining. Luckily, we brought a small umbrella for the journey, and it was a quick 6-minute walk to the hotel. As soon as we entered the lobby, before we could even sheepishly ask if we could check in early, the front desk agent said, “Are you here to check in? Let me see what I have available.” Just like that, we were able to get a spacious and comfortable room at 12:30 PM, and she even gave us an upgrade! This early check-in allowed us to take a solid 3-hour nap before heading out to see the city. This rest made all the difference for a meaningful visit in Madrid, as we only had 40 hours there. We are incredibly grateful for this hotel’s generosity.

Beautiful property!!! Loved that although the property was recently renovated the charm of the building from the 1800’s still kept! Loved our stay there. Rooms were spacious & clean and the staff were friendly! Also loved the location of the hotel! There’s a nice cafe across the street!! Highly recommend this hotel!!
