Hostal Alonso No Limit Madrid

The location was wonderful! Very close to everything and the staff was very friendly. There was no air conditioning which would have been fine, but at night it was loud to have the window open for fresh air. I could hear other hotel people and other neighbors. The flooring tiles in my room were broken. The door was not properly sealed so there was no noise privacy on either end. I woke up at 3am on a Tuesday because there were other hotel patrons in the hallway. They weren’t even being that loud. It was just my door had gaps on the top which meant I could hear everything. I had a really tough time in this hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it to people. Pay the extra money for another hotel with air conditioning and quiet hallways.

The staff is wonderful and they saved the review. They were friendly, courteous, helpful, and very professional. The place was superficially clean but very deteriorated. Doors don’t close properly, there are stains and cracks on walls and doors that have been painted over years without proper repair and lack of real maintenance. It feels like a flop house.

Very good location, incredibly friendly staff. With good location there was lots of street noise as expected but facilities and area were extremely clean and no problems. Good price for a good stay.

It is fairly run down, but clean. It is rather noisy outside, but that is to be expected for a location so central. One puzzling thing was that all water taps were always running as it was hard to close them. As long as it is not refurbished, this is a great way to visit Madrid on a low budget.

Location Bathroom

The location was great, easy access to main points of interests. The bed/mattress was not comfortable. The noise (by other guests) was pretty bad. Guests should be informed that loud late-night conversations/laughter is not acceptable when they arrive, so they have at least some self-awareness about this specific point.

Location clean Everything ist good to

The location is great, but that's about it The room was extremely small, the mattress extremely old. When arriving the was a pile of poo in the (admitedly shared with other tenants of the house) doorway. But what put me finally off is, that they locked the only available emergency exit!

Great location, friendly staff and clean all around. It’s an old building and much of the refurbishing and adaptations are poorly done.

Look for what I paid the place was smack in the center of everything. Comfortable bed, very clean and extremely welcoming and attentive staff. My issue was it's in need of an visual update. Maybe a fresh paint job and a smarter looking environment. But then again for the price you are getting more than you paid for. Just by location alone, cleanliness and the welcoming smiling staff it's more than valued. If the owner visually cleanned up this hostal with a few updates. It be the hottest spot to stay for the price.

OK room in a very central location in Madrid. The hotel was very noisy. My room was next to a shared bathroom, so between the sound of the plumbing and people talking loudly in the corridor it wasn't a peaceful place to sleep. I was expecting something better for the price.

We stayed at Alonso and it was a comfortable and cozy stay. The entrance of the building felt a bit spooky at first, but the rooms were old-style and vintage, yet quite comfortable. The bathrooms were shared but super clean and well-maintained. The location was perfect — right in the city center! You step out of the property and everything is just there, with great connectivity to nearby attractions.

Nothing I didn’t like about this place. Actually I didn’t know it is hostel! From your description I thiught I was booking a hotel.

The room also has a sink for washing hands and brushing teeth. It's located at the heart of the city. As such, it was somewhat noisy at night as tourists or locals always drink or social late into midnights at nearby bars or restaurants.

The bathrooms were very well kept and there was always at least one available for use, the whole hostel was very quiet, my room was overlooking a busy street, but if you close the windows it shut off the noise very well, there’s also a wash basin in the room which was very useful, many cute bars on the street where the hostel is and it’s a 5 min walk from Placa de Sol Liked everything
