The location is great, and the room was clean. For its price in the very center of Madrid I believe it’s one of the best. Also the staff were very nice, I asked to be changed from the 3rd to the 2nd floor and the staff did what I asked for very nicely and tried to help as much as they could The fact that there were no elevators, but the stairs were comfortable. The noises from the street, but with earplugs it was enough.

The room was ample and updated. Confortable bed. Nice front desk people. The hostal has 3 floor and no elevator and my room was assigned to the 3rd floor. As I had a lot of luggage I requested If I could be relocated tho the 1st floor to avoid going upstairs with all that luggage and they managed to give me a room on the 1st floor. I really appreciated it. Except for the fact that the building has no elevator everything else is really good. The building has no elevator.

It was very close to everything we wanted to see, we went everywhere by foot. This was the most important to us. For the price that we paid it was a really good deal. Water pressure was amazing, it might not be the most important for everyone but it’s an overlooked and underappraciated plus side to a place one is staying at. We were in a room at 3rd floor and we had a nice view on the street, it also wasn’t too loud, we didn’t have trouble falling asleep. Wifi worked well. Checking in was easy and simple and we used the offer to leave our bags after checking out for 1£ for each one. I think it was very convenient since our flight was in the afternoon so we could sightsee that day without carrying everything with us. It’s not the newest, but we didn’t really care about the interior design, has some stains/damages on the walls that need some fixing but nothing that would make our stay unpleasant. It would be nice to have a refrigerator in the room or on the floor where the room is but we were staying there in January on pretty cold days so we just left some stuff on our little nonwalkable balcony and it managed just fine. I think that the machines that were supposed to give you hot water or some hot drinks was out of order but I’m not sure right now, still a kettle in the room would be SO APPRECIATED. We knew what we were getting into though. The towels were pretty harsh and I definitely wouldn’t trust to use them on my face but the cleaning service is available so changing them after every day is also an option.
