Wifi could be stronger, tinny walls between rooms

Great location. The staff was helpful. It was quiet, but possible because there weren't many people. There was an elevator. The available air-conditioning. Very good fast wi-fi. They have notices to not flush paper in the toilet, so people just leave the "used" toilet paper in OPEN garbage bins, which makes the whole room smell disgusting. They used strong perfume for the bed fabrics, so it was impossible to breathe it. There aren't any signs to know which doors are the hostels, nor any indications outside. The floor numbers are spelled out with letter, which might be hard to understand for foreigners.

Location was great I was disappointed because I looked the comment and thought that place would be cleaned which is important for me but it was very dirty. Pillow do not have a protective case, it’s only the pillow case with the bare pillow under, which is very unhygienic and on top of that the pillows I had was covered with blood stains or yellow unidentified stains. I found several hairs on the “clean” bed sheets on top of that the bedroom had a sort of cat pee smell. I arrived on a Sunday and the bathrooms were very dirty with stains all around, dirty toilets it was impossible to seat on it and strong urine smell, though they were cleaned on the next morning I guess that with the big amount of rooms sharing the 3 bathrooms that’s why they get pretty dirty by the end of the day. Lastly, if you are a light sleeper, walls are paper thin. You can hear everyone in their own rooms. It’s a lot of young people partying and coming late at night and listening to music loud in their rooms at 2am for example then early in the morning the cleaning lady makes a lot of noises cleaning around as well so I do not recommend for light sleepers at all.

Location was ok. The room was absolutely different from the pictures. It was like 3 meters square, dirty, with a sink right beside the bed. No proper pillows, one washroom+bath on the floor, no toilet paper at night.

We wish the internet worked better and that there was a tea kettle in the room.

No windows in the single room.

The staff we're very friendly and always available at the front desk, and the communication I received from them in advance via WhatsApp was very helpful in regard to accessing the hostal. I was there both at the beginning and end of my trip for two or three days each time. The rooms I stayed in were very clean, as were the shared bathrooms, and the beds in both rooms I stayed in were quite comfortable. Very good value for the money in Madrid. A short walk to both the Gran Via and Chueca. The first room that I had didn't have a window, although it did have a little door in the wall that I could open for ventilation and there was a fan. I hadn't realized this but it wasn't a big deal and the second room that I had a couple of weeks later did have large french doors. I'm only mentioning this because if having a window is very important to you, be sure that you book a room that has one.

It was very clean and tidy and location was great! value also 10/10 the walls are thin indeed, so you can hear some outside noise, but i had my ac on and that blocked some of the noise out.

The toilet was lil bit messy

Staff were very friendly and offerred and upgraded room, which was great and very much appreciated! Location was good, close to a couple metro stops and an easy walk to the city centre. The bed and pillows was comfortable The room was quite small, so had very little room to put down luggage. The shower would leak water so this ended up all over the floor.

Very central location, very nice staff and clean room. Soundproofing is a problem, especially for rooms on the fifth floor; the noise from the equipment on the roof is bit annoying. The hallway is also almost no soundproofed. Earplugs are necessary to cope.

The cleaning ladies are amazing they do an amazing job, but the people that book the rooms can be loud and very nasty sometimes and unclean

Water in showers were not hot enough it was barely warm.

Clean, room was 2nd floor, but still very quiet. My second stay there, Great eats, including 24 hour cafe a few door down. Recommended!! The hallway light is slow to respond.

Super comodo, staff are comfortable with English, if that is a barrier. Preaching what they practice, community! Seasonal pricing would help.
