Close to Gran Via. Very quiet place

The room was comfortable enough for two people. The minifridge was a nice addition. The bathroom, though small, is renovated. The shower was really nice and they offer basic toiletries. I didn't get to meet the staff but got in touch through Booking messages. Most questions were answered within reasonable time. The Wifi worked perfectly well, which was absolutely necessary as we needed to have some meetings online. We had trouble getting into the building. We arrived at 1:30 a.m. and the front door wouldn't open. We were lucky another guest let us in. The rest of the self check-in process ran smoothly.

The location is good. This is a hostel. Very basic room with a bed. No windows onto a street, just an air vent. But worst of all, the shower was out of order! There was a hand-written sign saying it was inoperable… After a 12-hour travel day, you need a shower! It’s crazy they rented a room without one! For the price of this room ($143) I feel I got ripped off.
