The service and breakfast were nice. The hotel is not very close to the city center, but it is conveniently located near the metro, so getting anywhere is easy.

Ibis Madrid Calle Alcala is in a nice, quiet neighborhood and about a 3 minute walk to the Saunzes Metro station. The staff are all very friendly, respectable, and welcoming, they always greeted us in the mornings. The rooms are a decent size, with shelves to put your things away. The bathroom is also a decent size and you have room to walk around. My husband and I had a wonderful time and experience at this hotel. The AC could have been a little bit more stronger but it was still comfortable enough to keep us cool after coming in from those hot days and long walks.

shower Irbis is a well-known brand, but the rooms at this particular hotel are very substandard: they're old, small, and resemble a flophouse. The ground floor—reception and restaurant—are nice.
