fantastic location off a big piazza but quiet inside

Junior suite for a week over Madrid Pride. Spacious, bright room with views over Plaza St Ana, which were unfortunately obscured by scaffolding during my stay but that should be resolved soon. Room is well equipped and quiet - apart from noise from renovations from 9am on my last 2 days - but none on the weekends, most importantly. Comfortable bed and great shower. There’s a bath too but I never used it. Good late breakfast and the staff all super friendly and welcoming. Noise from renovations on my last two mornings starting before 9am. It was loud too. But I still give this hotel 10+ because the usual peace should soon return.

A really nice place in the heart of Madrid—I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

this Property is perfectly located right in las letras adjust a short walk from everything from the Prado museum and Riera Park on one side to live the Latina neighbourhood and Sol on the other side. Absolutely perfectly located Hotel. There were like 12 or 14 restaurants that have tables and umbrellas in the park right across the street so take your pic. Great for people watching The room was very small to be honest with you. I could barely fit my suitcases through the door into the property. They were doing construction so we had to leave the windows closed at all times because construction workers would walk right past our window. The bathroom was so small I had to walk in and back out. The other thing I didn't like was that the little refrigerator was so full of stuff for sale I couldn't fit anything into it. Eventually I just took everything out so that I could make room and even then it was hard to fit more than a few cans/bottles in there.

I am sure I picked up the best place to stay during my solo trip to Madrid. Room Mate Alicia is perfect located at Barrio de las Letras, the room was very quiet and comfortable and the staff very supportive and friendly. I highly recommend staying at Room Mate when you are in Madrid.

We had two rooms to accommodate our American family for 10 days. We loved Room Mate Alicia Madrid for several reasons- the rooms were lovely, the beds comfortable; there were little amenities and notes that made our stay even more welcoming. The staff were all so helpful and professional. While they all spoke very good to excellent English, they were very patient and willing to chat with me using my limited Spanish. The location is perfect! It was so easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. Pretty much everything was walkable. One of our family members ended up needing a doctor for a foot issue and the front desk arranged for the visit- the doctor arrived quickly and was warm and professional. Finally, one extra touch that, as a professor of public administration, was particularly special for me was the copy of the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights in each room. I think this is the perfect reading material for all hotel rooms and I hope to see that spread! We will absolutely look to stay in more Room Mate hotels. Nothing. Even though there was scaffolding on the building for historic maintenance and we didn't use the windows because of it, we didn't mind. We had been told in advance of our arrival about the timing of this work. Besides, we were in Madrid...we weren't hanging out in our rooms for very long!

Everything was wonderful except that I do some work while I travel, and the room had no desk. I did my work using the laptop on my lap because they also do not have a business center. I guess they want everyone to relax. I need at least a small desk area and an appropriate chair in places where I stay. We had a lovely room with a balcony, but the time I had to work was not comfortable.

Very central. Rooms very well appointed. Clean. Stylish. Hotel prices in Madrid have skyrocketed and it was too expensive

The location was great, very close to everything. The front desk staff was very friendly and super helpful. The breakfast was a little overpriced. Repairs were going on while we were there so we couldn't see our our window.
-

Location, staff, quiet room Breakfast, bedding

Room was small. Shower was literally in the room. Door didn't close all the way and didn't drain very well. Bathroom was small

I really liked the breakfast crew, Sabina at the front desk, and Becky (?) doing the rooms. They were doing work on scaffolding outside, and so our window was covered over with plastic to keep the debris out. Could not see out.
