The location Our room had a bad smell

Second time staying here. I like the location and it’s comfortable. There is no kettle or coffee. But mostly the people at reception failed to provide information or help at all, as of how long it would take to have the room ready. Check in is at 3 pm yes. My train arrived at 9am. I asked how long it could take and all they said was “it’s not ready. But it may be ready before checkin time”. I left my bags and went away to get some coffee. I came back to ask at 11:30 room was still not ready and I asked again how much longer would I have to wait. They replied “I don’t know sorry”. So I sat there to wait (other people had been waiting for ages too even sleeping at lobby). I went back to ask at 1:30 pm and they said “Still not ready” and then I asked. “Can’t you contact them and ask?” And that’s when their lightbulb finally switched on and they grabbed the phone and called them….. I’ve traveled quite a few and I have always encountered people at reception trying to help you settle in. If the room is not ready several times they just ask the cleaning person to go clean it so you don’t have to wait. And if that CAN’T be done, at least call and ask how long it could take just so you don’t waste the entire day waiting. Truly disappointing for the price of the hotel.
