I loved the location (very close to major sites). The room was comfortable and quiet.

Right in the center of Madrid you can walk to all the tourist spots and lots of restaurants!! Obviously you're not staying at the Ritz in this price range, but it's very clean, very quiet, good WiFi and a super comfortable bed. There is also a sweet man to greet you and there is an old elevator so you don't have to climb all the stairs like you need to do in most hotels in this price range!! I would definitely stay here again if I find myself traveling through Madrid for a short stay! It was all good!!

Location, cost, cleanliness It was noisy from the street

Great value, couldnt beat it. Very clean and much better then the pictures suggest. The location is perfect and the staff were lovely. The shower head connector in one of the bathrooms is broken

The location was fantastic. Easy to walk everywhere and good vibes all around. The room was simple and clean and comfortable. The whole place was tasteful and quaint. The proximity of my room to the toilet was a bit off putting due to the noises coming out of there. But the toilets were kept clean so that was good. Extra towels especially one for the feet would have been good.

The gentleman who is there is very kind, he deserves a good review, quiet, helpful! location is great, close enough to metro (50 meters away from Martin Anton; 250-300 from Plaza del Sol, 2 stops from Atocha). You can go to the center of Madrid or explore el barrio de las letras, a good barrio for more locally flavored food. again, the gentleman did a good job! Check in was a nightmare, we arrived by 8 hopping to find a person who could answer the door to receive our small luggage pieces. Understanding that check in is at 2pm, many of us arrive from the US and somehow a way to get rid of luggage is a strong need. Something has to be done to at least be able to storage luggage early (they knew about it) the room was ok, nothing fancy, 4 beds, 2 were perfect to sleep, the other two: one was a dancing machine and the other was a noisy box! there are two extremely old, dirty sofas on the hallway; Many times I wonder why the owners don’t take good care of the business, too much potential wasted. If somehow the owners read this, one of the full bathrooms is nice, modern, perfectly remodeled, the other one desperately need the same. you have to improve the business to stay competitive…. I am sure we won’t return

It is very hot in the summer.

Very old room: it need to change bed and all other stuff in the room, no silence during day. I stayed near toilet, every time people do shower, no quite, very old pipes of water cause noise. Also keys need to change more time; No advise for the guest of time of silence, I suggest you to fix cartel in entrance.

Great place to stay, extra clean and comfy

Every thing was just close by. Only small problem was the manager could not speak any English Lack of communication but a nice manager

Perfect location. Despite having very little English, the owner was super nice and friendly, gave us extra towels and bin bags etc throughout the week at no extra cost even though it says there's a charge for towels, always said hello in passing too. Room was good, nothing special but had all we needed including a sink in the room so we didn't have to go all the way to the bathrooms to brush teeth. Showers were good, bathrooms spacious and clean. Would absolutely stay here again! Honestly not much, you get what you pay for so don't expect the Ritz but it's good. The only downside I'd say is the two flights of stairs each day, but there is a lift if you need it.

The hostal is in a great location, just a short walk from Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel, and Puerta del Sol. It's close to a metro station and bus stop, so getting around was no problem. There are restaurants and shops nearby, and the area feels very safe. The hostal is in an old building, but it is well taken care of and has a nice, comfortable feel. Check-in was a bit challenging due to language barriers, but the owner was kind and patient. Check-out was quick and easy. The room was small and the walls rather thin, but this wasn't an issue personally.
