the room was extremely small, the layout and the bed and the bathroom were far below my expectations the facilities were pretty old and could use some renovations

Bed was comfy and location was nice. Parking garage connected. Nothing really there but the room.

The hotel is very centrally located, just minutes away from Barrio de Las Letras, Sol, and El Rastro. The reception staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful, always ready to make the stay more enjoyable, The room was kept in pristine condition, and they provided complimentary water. The breakfast was made up of a hot station (scrambled and boiled eggs, sausage, bacon), fresh juices and non-dairy milk, six different types of freshly cut fruit, and local and international pastry. The staff was replenishing the different stations constantly, and keeping the area in pristine condition. While the hotel is centrally located and one can walk anywhere, it sits on a narrow street that is under construction so right now its a dead end street. There is quite a lot of pedestrian traffic, but no sanitation, so the street is dirty. There is a charity food pantry where the dead end is, so there is quite a lot of homeless people doing their physiological needs in the blocked entrance to an underground parking lot. The steet is quite dirty. The room was not as big as expected, and the design of the furniture and its location did not contribute to making it more spacious. The window opened to a patio and the building has a lattice or louver, so the room is protected from direct sunlight. The bathroom's dimensions were appropriate, but the only place to leave your personal toiletries is a shelf underneath the sink, so if you don't want to bend several times a day, you best keep your toiletries in the bedroom. The worst feature in the bathroom (and the whole room, in fact) is the shower. It's inside a bathtub that has a glass panel half the length of the tub. It's a tall bathtub too, so it makes it complicated to exit. There is a sturdy metal handle, but there is always the risk of slipping when exiting the tub. I strongly recommend eliminating the bathtub before someone falls and injures her/himself. The kitchen/service staff was clearly not enough for the demand of guests, and while they were busy replenishing food, many times one had to wait about ten minutes for food to be replenished in the buffet line (case in point, the scrambled eggs: they were made in a rush, so they were not really scrambled but a huge omelette, at least two days there were burnt pieces). Cold cuts were not presented in the buffet line in the manner one would expect for a four-star hotel. Wifi in the room was unsecured and not reliable.

Perfect location, amazing breakfast, comfort rooms

The staff were very helpful and kind. Our room would smell like garbage in the evenings.
-
Location and clean
-
The street was dirty, bags with garbage close by, homeless people on the street where the hotel was.
-
The breakfast area is nice but the same hot foods everyday - scrambled eggs, bacon and link sausages. It would be nice to have other food variations as well as being able to request for other egg styles, like omelettes or sunny side ups.
-
Front desk staff and cleaning crew were excellent The breakfast area floor was dirty during the breakfast time , they had two guys doing the breakfast and for two days the floor was dirty with eggs and pieces of bread while dinning there

Location. Great staff very helpful and reliable

The staff was friendly and professional. The room was clean and mostly quiet, unless the window was open, but it was during San Ysidro so it's understandable that it would be a little noisier. I liked the location near the metro, bus and many restaurants and cafes and easy walking to everything. Breakfast included would be so nice. However, the little cafe across the street served a lovely breakfast where we ate every morning.

Excellent location. Nice staff. Delicious breakfasts. Good rooms. The girls at the reception were so kind and helpful. Congratulations! The staff at the restaurant were very kind. Congratulations and thank you very much! The cleaning could be improved a little more. We had to ask for new towels as the cleaner left ours in the floor. Also we had to ask twice for bags and forms to deliver clothes to the laundry.

Location was a disappointment—on a dirty block in an otherwise nice neighborhood.

Noise during the night

The staff from the Front Desk were incredible. They are the face of the hotel and they do an excellent job.WHAT IS INCREDIBLE WAS THE ROOM WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING. We were not able to sleep between the hot and and the outside noise, because of having the window open. the front desk girl found a fan for us that help a little bit. We paid an expensive rate for not having air condioting working at the room. we are very disastified THEY DID NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING WORKING
