It is in the heart of Madrid, close to everything. Hotel is not sound proof so lots of noise at night.

We liked the cleanliness of the room and the beds were comfortable. We had balconies overlooking the avenue. Location was good. We were able to walk to many sites. We did not realize our room overlooked a club that was open until 5am. It was very noisy and interrupted our sleep. Bathroom had a tub/shower combo with half a glass partition. It was difficult for my elderly mother to get in and out. Floor of bath was slippery. Water split out of the shower.

Location if you want to drink in bars and walk back to your hotel, still be aware that you will be in a very dangerous area not safe at all. You cannot sleep in the room because of the constant noise from the street until 06:00 in the morning. You cannot bring fresh air to the room because of the bad smell from the street. You need to be very careful with your luggages during checkin and checkout as there are thieves around. The staff is rude and disrespectful. The rooms needs renovation and detailed cleaning. The beds are terrible in comfort.

Location The upgraded room was too small, tight. The decor was old. The taxis couldn't get there.
