The staff was kind but walls are very thin and you can hear everything they staff members were talking. They were talking and laughing so loud making sleep impossible

Location and staff are great. Room was okay for one night. Room needs some updates

We really enjoyed the location: close to Puerta de Sol, variety of restaurants and turron places, street musicians nearly daily playing classical and other music, good size bathroom in the room, working elevator. Didn't realize how narrow the bed would be and how the portal key never worked. We got in thanks to several helpful folks who happened along or when the door was open during the day.

Location’s excellent, alive, many food options and very walkable. Staff were helpful. For us the hostal did good.

They didn’t clean the room all the time, the facilities are very old A little too pricy for a small room with shared toilets

Very simple room, good location.

The location is the best, the staff is hospitable and attentive.

The location is perfect. It is in the very center of Madrid, right next to Sol. The free wifi was excellent: fast and stable. I could still hear the noise from outside and from the next door at night.

I booked a single but was allocated a double room. The room had a fridge. The room had no natural light.

Can't recommend this hostel for 50 €, if you are OK with being 5 stations away from Sol you can easily get a BnB room for 30 € per night. In this Hostel you won't rest so well. I wanted to read before sleeping but from 11 til 1 pm you could hear the loud voices + the TV of the neighbors. Even staff members were shouting on the floor at midnight. Same in the morning, no one respects the manners of silent hours there. The staff was in general very unpleasant. Worse thing. In the morning (check out at 11 already!) I asked if I could let my heavy luggage for a short time with them, so I could get some breakfast without heavy bags taking all my attention. One old man at reception told me arrogantly : Our Luggage storage is full! Although I saw there was plenty of space by the reception counter.. I just needed to let it there for 30 minutes. This bad mannered man didn't even wish me a good day nor said : "Thanks for having chosen our motel".. For me these things are Still important.. 50 € is a lot for a place where you can't expect anything good, in my opinion. I slept a little, but the room was old and dusty. Nech time I'll stick with the bnb rooms from the beginning. Much nicer :)

Location Anything but location is awful. The staff is rude and non helpful. The place totally lacks a maintenance, everything is old and purely functioning. Tobacco smell is everywhere.

A place to sleep for 1 night only if you dont have any other option. No amenities provided. Balcony door does not lock properly .And most of all, the staff that checked us in is rude and unfriendly.
