We did not stay at the property. Rooms were not clean and had mold. Unclean, mold, staff was not accommodating

The only positive aspect of the property was its location. Unfortunately, any potential benefits were completely overshadowed by the chaotic check-in process, unresolved maintenance issues, marijuana smoke entering our room, poor customer service, and unauthorized credit card charge. As a result, I cannot recommend this property based on my experience. From the moment we arrived, the experience was disappointing. The lobby was overcrowded and chaotic, making check-in confusing and stressful. Our room’s air conditioning wasn’t working, and marijuana smoke from the neighboring room entered our room, making it uncomfortable. Despite multiple calls to the front desk, the issues were not addressed promptly, and we had to go downstairs ourselves before a handyman was finally sent late that evening. I was also extremely concerned that the hotel required my husband to leave a $200 cash deposit after saying they could not accept our Capital One card for incidentals, yet they later charged the credit card used to make the reservation without my authorization. That, combined with the poor communication, lack of urgency, and overall customer service, made this one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had—especially while celebrating my sister’s 60th birthday with our group of 40.

I liked the pool. The walk was a lot to the restaurant. The constant having to use a machine scan to eat.. 10 mins to noon and had to wait for 12 noon to ask for something to eat. They jacked up the price for me when I got there. Hundreds of dollars more for 3 nites when my daughter joined me. I would never stay there again T There was never enough food. An all inclusive usually has food all day even if it just snacks. The main courses were the same And never s steak.

Charlie at the pool bar and many other members just have nasty demeanors. service was really horrible as we waited forever just to get drinks at the bar and met with attitudes. I even tried tipping to cheer them up but there were no change.

Breakfast variety was great. No complaints here. A staff worker entered into my room with a key unannounced and uninvited.  This confusion caused ciaos in the hallway which resulted in another guest coming out of his room entering into my conversation with the staff worker.  The situation with the other guest became hostile.  After further investigation with the security and the hotel manager my husband and I were told that we were wrong and that it's totally normal for staff to do random checks in guests rooms - wow!  No one understood our upset and concern regarding invasion of our privacy and the staff entering our room with a key unannounced. They said it's totally legal for staff to do random checks. Nothing was resolved.   The shower doors are half doors / only covering half the shower resulting in the floor being wet and covered in water each time we showered. We had to continuously lay down multiple towels to soak up the water. The female workers are not friendly to the female guests. They were always moody when asked for anything. Would not recommend this resort.

Property was in a convenient location. Not to far from popular bars & restaurants. Very close to the airport. The swim up bar was a nice vibe. I only wish that they had a DJ or played music instead of local live bands. Nobody wants to hear contemporary rock/country music while vacationing in the Caribbean. I do understand that the hotel has to cater to all people but maybe there should be a set schedule for the music instead of having just one thing playing. And it did seem like the music they were playing wasn’t even appealing to the people they were trying to appeal to. People are on vacation and want to let loose a little. The majority of people on this resort was from the ages of 25-40…. Sometimes you have to gage the crowd. It was by no means appropriate to break out the nursing home entertainment mid day at the swim up bar pool area. I also HATED that the dress code for the restaurants seemed to be only enforced when it came down to a certain race of people. It does not feel good to be turned down from an all inclusive restaurant due to dress code only to see that there are other vacationers of the opposite race wearing identical outfits dining in that very establishment with out any issues. We all paid for the same amenities but somehow we’re treated VERY differently. It’s sad to be discriminated against in general. But on vacation is a new LOW.

Our room had literal mold in the bathroom, stained curtains, hair/debris/dust on the floors, rusted bathroom appliances. We ended up staying only 1 of our 3 nights there. The food was awful, staff was okay. I wouldn’t recommend.

Sonesta is very clean. Staff are all so friendly. Anthony, of the servers, was the best. He always checked on us to see of we needed anything. Such a sweet individual. The housekeeping made sure we always had clean linens and kept our room very clean. Front desk staff was very helpful. Can't wait to go back. Felt very safe, security was always around.

I liked the location of the property and majority of the staff were very friendly. I dislike the fact that is was advertised as an all inclusive. All of the pools closed at sun down. There aren’t many bars on the resort and none of them are open late. There is one bar that closes by 12:00am. there’s also no entertainment on the resort or any late night snack bars. The bathrooms had so much mold and the house keepers didn’t do a great job at cleaning everyday and restocking the room. We had to go down to the lobby ourselves and get what we needed.
