Kota Lodge Hotel

This hotel has by far the worst wifi I've come across in my two and a half months of travels throughout Malaysia. Some evenings, while in my room, it simply didn't work! The walls are super thin which means any noise from the corridor and reception area penetrates easily into your earbuds. Overall, for the low price, I was satisfied.

Check in, it was totally automated and no manual intervention. Good support from the staff. Excellent location. Mentioned amenities were not provided though that was not a major problem.

The room we booked was very bad and the shared bathroom was dirty. So we ask for un upgrade but still we found a dirty space. We ask if they could clean and change sheets. A lot of stuff was everywhere also in the common space. Fridge where to put our food or drinks smell of fish. In the toilet we had to open a tap to let the water comes and flu away things. The room was also very humid. We stay there for 3 nights and for this kind of period I would not recommended this accomodation. Dont trust photos on booking. Every space feels more abandoned then shown in photo.

Every thing is good this hotel.I had a travel gas stove and could cook in the hotel kitchen. There was a fridge, cold water and beer available. The bathroom had high pressure water.Its location was close to the sights of Malaga that I could walk every day

Noisy at daytime, after 7AM, you can not rest well. Walls got windows, and they are not soundproof.

The fact that it's cheap and a quick layover for the night. The only good thing about this hostel is the strong wifi and walking distance from Jonker Street. I don't recommend renting here unless you need a last minute place to sleep for a couple of hours. Booked online but they asked for RM50 deposit upon check-in for an empty dirty room that is not made! The interim admin clerk had the balls to tell me her grandmother's story of an excuse that the cleaner on duty that morning was a man and didn't do his job. Then she called someone to get advice on how to proceed and that person told her to switch me a different room on the ground floor. Knowing that the room downstairs is cheaper, I refused to switch unless they give me a refund of the differences, to which she said is not possible. The room is also non-refundable. She kept saying that she doesn't know anything and that she is not supposed to be manning the desk, I was like what the actual duck? I had to teach her to go make up the room and provide me all the non-existent basic bathing stuffs like toilet rolls and shampoos to which she obliged with a grudge. Water pressure is non-existent, no toiletries provided. Wet bathroom floor. No proper locking system on the door - very easy to be burglared. Balcony is shared with the room next door, which defeats the meaning of a better room from the ones downstairs with windows facing inside. No privacy nor safety whatsoever. No room number on the door. Bed is too hard but pillow is thin. I was given me an access card with a key but there is nowhere I can use the access card in the room lmfao. TV will switch off by itself ambiguously. There is a huge sign saying "No-smoking" but the man in the reception was smoking at the counter inside the property. Abysmal. I wouldn't come back.
