Beautiful room, beautiful decor, well located A man who worked at the hotel restaurant was totally creepy to me. Repeatedly asked me my room number, asked if I was single, and offered to bring my check to my room. Very unprofessional. When i told the manager he tried to have me confront this man myself. Later he brought me fruit and said the guy didn’t speak English well so that was his excuse… he spoke English pretty well to me. It’s really a shame because the rest of the hotel was beautiful

Great location, really special hotel/museum with a history. Huge rooms, breakfast by the water. Very friendly staff The room was a little bit dark which is part of the story of the house and keeps the heat out, but one should be aware of it

The hotel was eclectic and luxurious. Tha staff tripped over themselves to serve you promptly and happily. The owner himself greeted us on the morning and was always treating us with extra specialities that they had made for breakfast. Certainly won't go hungry. Overall a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend!!

Excellent location water front rooms. Very unique property . It’s like being in a museum with a lot of antique things. Restaurant was great with very good breakfast. Too many food items and very tasty. Didn’t have to have lunch after the heavy breakfast. Restaurant staffs and receptionist are very helpful and polite. Owner came to us during breakfast and enquired us regarding the stay. Very close to some tourist attractions like synagogue, palace and lot of shops around for perfumes and antiques. Will definitely stay again and would recommend to others . None.

Excellent staff. Beautiful artwork everywhere. This hotel was such a visual treat. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities were thoughtful.

I had a beautiful room with a stunning view of the sea and backwaters, peaceful, scenic, and unforgettable. The restaurant, set against the same breathtaking backdrop, made every breakfast feel like a retreat in nature. The atmosphere was calm and pastoral, perfect for starting the day. The staff were exceptionally polite and warm. Martin, the hotel manager, always greeted me with a cheerful, welcoming smile, and the owner (whose name I regret forgetting) checked in on me daily, making sure I was comfortable and even keeping me company with genuine care. A special highlight was the antique shop inside the hotel, a true treasure trove filled with magnificent pieces, each with its own story. Wandering through it felt like stepping into a museum of art, culture, and history. It was a special stay in a unique place, full of charm and heartfelt hospitality.

Staying at Ginger House Museum Hotel was a truly special experience. The hotel is set right on the waterfront, offering a stunning view of the port and the fishermen returning to shore in the evening – a peaceful and authentic glimpse into local life. The restaurant, located just by the gulf, looks out over Willingdon Island and offers a beautiful setting for meals. The hotel itself is filled with rare and fascinating antiques, including an extraordinary 1,040-year-old boat that was once carried by 95 people to the shore – an impressive 32 meters in length. What made the experience truly memorable was the warmth and generosity of the owner and his family. Their hospitality made me feel completely at home, and I’m grateful for the personal and heartfelt connection. Highly recommended for those seeking a unique and soulful stay in Kochi.

The South Indian breakfast was exceptional. The location of the hotel was perfect--on the harbor, easy walking distance to the Paradesi Synagogue, the Mattancherry Palace, and many shops. A 5-10 minute 3-wheeler ride away were several excellent restaurants and the Fort Cochin Beach with a long promendade along the water.. Staff at the hotyel were very friendly. The entire hotel is a fascinating antique shop. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, with good a/c, splendid bathrooms. All around great! Given it's location, I can't think of anything that could be improved.

The room have incredibly high ceilings which make them spacious . The pool is close the rooms with a nice view. The staff are lovely. Unfortunately the water was not always warm when we wanted to take a shower. The location near Jew town is OK during the day but dead in the evenings and there’s very little in the way of restaurants near. It takes a 10min tuk tuk ride to get to restaurants in Ft kochi main area. Also the food at the restaurant is just OK .
