The staff were great, the hotels is very clean, very interesting design, unusual, cozy; Expensive and get very noisy, especially when you’re trying to sleep in the morning and cars and motorcycles on the street are loud with their engines and honking

I recently stayed at the Nomada hotel Origen in the Poblado Manila area of Colombia and, unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. One of the main concerns was the excessive noise. The room was subject to very loud disturbances until approximately 1:00 a.m. each night. This was not disclosed anywhere during the booking process, and it significantly impacted my ability to rest. After the first night, I raised the issue with the front desk, but I was informed that no alternative room on a higher floor was available. Additionally, the hotel was unwilling to offer a refund or any flexibility for me to relocate elsewhere. Due to these issues, despite having originally booked a four-night stay, I made the decision to rebook another hotel, as continuing additional nights at this property was not a viable option. Accessibility and service were also lacking. There are no handrails along the stairs leading up to the lobby, which may pose challenges for older travelers or those with mobility concerns. Furthermore, there was no bell service or assistance offered upon arrival to help with luggage. While there is an elevator available to reach the rooms after the initial set of stairs, the lack of support at entry is inconvenient and not particularly welcoming. Cleanliness was another disappointment. The sink appeared old and not properly maintained, and the bathroom overall could benefit from a more thorough and consistent cleaning standard. Finally, the lack of basic in-room amenities, such as a coffee machine, was surprising and detracted from the overall comfort of the stay. Given these issues, I would encourage the hotel to improve transparency about noise levels, invest in better maintenance and cleanliness, enhance accessibility and guest support, and consider offering essential amenities expected by most travelers.

Its in an amazing area, and very clean and comfortable. Its not too accessible, you have to go up some stairs but overall truly great stay.

Had breakfast first morning at Hija Mia downstairs. A little pricey but otherwise very good. There was a fire alarm in the hall that was beeping indicating it needed a new battery.

Location and style You can hear all the noise from outside (the street, the upper and lower floor)

Great location as there were a lot of restaurants around the area, and is the middle of the city center The first night was a bit noisy throughout the whole night, blasting music, restaurant staff prepping for the day, so it was difficult to sleep. But the second night was pretty quiet

We stayed on the second floor. Veeery noisy. the girls on the front desk would laugh and be loud as well as the street noise did not allow a good sleep. We stayed on the second floor. Floor and room was very dirty. Sheets stained. They charged us to clean sheets because of red paint we stepped on on their floor. There was dried red paint around the room already.

Great location, very comfortable Could hear a little street noise from the room

Location and safety of the area, closeness to some of the best resaurants, safe to walk out for food, not too loud. Walkable to Parque El Poblado (where some tour meet ups are arranged as well as the subway station). Our room was on the fifth floor a corner room, I loved the corner windows and how the trees cover the window giving you privacy, high floor rooms are also better to avoid the brief noise from the street. Robald at reception is so nice and helpful! Gracias Ronald! The cafe downstairs was really nice! Excellent coffee, delicious acai bowls and lovely staff. I liked cleanliness, hospitality, easy access and location. The only thing that I did not mind but my partner found uneasy is the bathroom and toilet that are semi-open on one side, meaning that the oposite side of the door is an open block concrete covered with plants, but the plants dont cover everything so I can imagine someone from a rooftop might be able to see you a little bit while showering. For me it was not an issue.

The room was excellent—quite large with a nice view out over the city, big comfortable bed, great lighting, good decor. The location is very good. Manila is very much an up-and-coming neighborhood with a good vibe and lots of restaurants and cafés to enjoy, with central Poblado a short walk away. Great hotel with one major flaw: the street outside is way too noisy. Extremely loud motorbikes ripping past late at night and early in the morning. I slept with earplugs every night, which only helps a bit. Not much the hotel can do about that (apart from maybe getting sound-proofed windows)—really, it should be made illegal by the city/government to drive such loud vehicles (especially at night). Also one comment about the Hija Mia café below the hotel—it’s great to have this café to go to for breakfast in the morning, but they try wayyy too hard to be clever with their menu. The food is just not very good (and they serve very hard stale bread in their dishes). They should simplify the dishes to be less fancy looking and better tasting. Their coffee, however, is excellent.
