Considering it is on Lygon street the room was quiet. They let us know that renovations were happening during the day but as I was out they never bother me.
-
The renovations and being given a room next door to it. When other rooms were clearly available.

Modest but clean accommodation right in the middle of Lygon Street cafes and restaurants area. Easy access to public transport and walking to Melbourne CBD took 15 minutes. The property is undergoing progressive renovation, our room was cleaned and new towels, daily. We didn't have a car as parking would have been expensive. They have a free guest washing machine and the dryer costs $6. Woolworths supermarket 3 blocks away.

Nothing at all

Nothing Old mattress Construction going all day in half the hotel, smoke, dust in hall No amenities Elevator was open to anyone Rooms to have proper security Room stuffy, moldy in bathroom Shower was running hot or cold, could not regulate to warm False advertising

The water pressure in the shower was good. Lots of restaurants in the neighborhood. Close to public transportation. Totally unsafe. Tiny reception area. Leads outside to a public parking lot to access the elevator. No secured entry to elevator and rooms. They are updating the hotel and workers on guest floors with heavy equipment at 8am. Smoke and dust into guest rooms No way to be sure workers are vetted before being on guest floors. Unacceptable for woman traveling alone. Rooms are furnished with tag sale furniture, including a gaming table instead of a desk. No closet, just an Ikea rack. Basically this hotel was a dump.

Street noise (motorbikes & cars roaring along the road below room). Poor selection of eating places nearby. Dingy, room, quite rundown and in need of refurbishment. Air conditioner didn't work (too late in evening, didn't bother to report).

Before we arrived we were told they had changed our two bedroom apartment to two single rooms due to renovations. We did not end up staying as the.rooms were beyond habitable. The Hotel should have closed during renovations, absolutely unacceptable that they thought they could still operate under those conditions. Drilling /jack hammers were operating by our rooms. There weren't even any walls in the 'room' next door! Dust everywhere. Inside our rooms it was appalling - broken fixtures, dirty walls and carpet which was torn. In my friends room it was the same, plus the toilet wouldn't flush and then leaked everywhere. I asked for my money back and the lovely staff member didn't hesitate to agree and explained the process of contacting Booking.com.

we were able to park at the venue, good value for money
-
Setout, roominess No daily housekeeping except towels
-
The localization, it was close to the city center We had to switch room cause the sofa, bed and restroom were awful. The next room it was not completely clean but it was better than the one before.

Receptionist was friendly and helpful. I had asked for a balcony, which I got, however I should have specified, street facing balcony. My fault. This is about my 5th stay here and although not perfect every time, has been good value for money. Paid a bit more this time. I also learned that if you book direct (by phone) , the off street parking is free. Be aware not to book direct on line. I got caught last time by a scam that doubled the price. Fortunately that was sorted. I usually wash, dry and put away my dishes (ordered from the amazing variety of restaurants within walking distance). This time there was only 1 fork (and I had two meals). There was no dishwashing liquid or tea towel. There were two hairdryers though!!!

Location was good. The desk was staffed early and late. The rooms were more suitable for student occupation. Fittings and fixtures were worn and tired.
-
Absolutely fantastic.. bed was sooooo comfortable.
-
Location was about the only thing. I do not believe that by plonking a bed into a dining/lounge area you make a TWO BEDROOM apartment. In fact I would see that as misleading. I also do not think that putting some very inexperienced young people at a front desk constitutes a RECEPTION area. The air conditioner in the main living area did not work and the shower head was broken. Towels had marks on them
-
Very close to the restaurants on lygon No complaints about it
-
Location Entrance to elevator is through car parking and not clean, although i left some of my belongings (medicine, toothbrush, deodorant , floss)I came the next day to redeem it,they said they through theme away.
