I stayed in this property 7 years ago with few types of items like spagetti, rice provided. We like these. This round only oil and salt provided. Good if can remain what they provided earlier.

Cleanliness of private room, homely vibe, helpful reception, amazing people, perfect location. Also, there were complementary tea, coffee, electric kettle, heater, towels to use. I will be staying for 4 more nights in another type of room, and I'm really happy that I opted for Flinders Backpackers. Check-in and check-out time. But, their open luggage storage and common areas has been massively helpful. So, NO complaints, just love!

Friendly staff and great check-in times. Stayed in a three bunk dorm and the other people were respectful. The location is very central, and not overly noisy despite being so near Flinders. Good vibes and friendly atmosphere created. Bathrooms were not perfect, but it was fine.

Very convenient traffic. Has Events every day. Very friendly reception service. There’s kitchen to cook and tables to dine. There is no water and water boiler in the room, so I need to go down to the common room the get boiled water when I’m thirsty. In the room, it’s very noisy at night. The drier’s noise in the toilets is very loud. And also some cars out at the street down the window make a lot of noise when they boom the throttles.

The rooftop cafe was cute and the location is very central. The private rooms are adjacent to very busy bathrooms. The hand dryers go off at all hours of the night with not even one iota of soundproofing in the rooms. The hallways were also so loud. Probably the worst nights sleep I’ve had in a longgggg time, stay here and you’ll know what I mean. The CBD is also very loud (to be expected) but the city noise had nothing on the roar of the all-night hallway and bathroom shenanigans in this hostel. The layout is not very well thought out. You pay for a bed at the end of the day and I’d rate my sleep quality over my whole stay a solid -8/10.

the engagement area making new friends and getting to meet new people. everything was good.

Nice friendly and close to the train station

Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooftop food was good. Good price for location. The streets are definitely pretty loud even at night so would recommend bringing some kind of noise cancelling for sleep, but not the fault of the hostel. Mix of private and shared bathroom spaces but the keycard system was very nice and easy to keep track of. Was able to shower and store luggage before check in. The lockers are limited and weren't very big but I didn't end up needing one. Lot of small businesses along the street so I missed it my first loop, but not hard to find after that.

The doors are making a lot of noise when closed. It would be good to put a rubber in the door frames to reduce the noise.

Central location, good value, good vibes. The WiFi was out for part of our stay but that wasn't a huge convenience as I had my phone

Read the find print. After booking many months before they did not let me sleep the night, as i was TOO OLD.... over 35.... so i wandered melbourne, streets until 10am the next day, the same night a man got stabbed and died in the CBD where i was. I wouldnt have mind, but did not refund my money. paid did not refund my money... I am NOT the first person this has happened to, see Google

Honestly love this hostel. It’s clean has lots of space for the common areas inside and the cafe on the roof is adorable.
-
Kitchen was good. The bathroom was next to my room and your could hear the noise of the hand dryer all night long.
-
Friendly staff and the location is closer to shops and the train station.
-
Kitchen and rooms are very nice! The showers/bathrooms are not enough and not clean or convenient
-
I had a great experience! The hostel is very central, the bathrooms and dorms were clean and tidy and the staff is very friendly.

So far, the best hostel I’ve stayed at. Everything is well organised. The room is spacious with a thoughtful layout, and the kitchen is well equipped. The staff are very friendly; the house rules are reasonable. Cleanliness is excellent for a place of this type. Great location, close to Flinders Station. The room door has almost no sound insulation. Bathrooms are located in the middle of the floor, and many rooms face them. When a hand dryer is used, the noise carries clearly into the rooms, even with both doors closed.
