The location was closed to the conference I booked this for my staff as they had a conference at Fed Square. They ended up leaving and booking somewhere else to stay because they said it was unclean and felt unsafe with undesirable characters hanging around inside and out.

Amazing, first time solo trip and this place offered an amazing value. Even it is a mixed dorm but everyone respect each other’s privacy, so cant complain anything For my experience, it is a nice play to stay with nice community

Location was wonderful. From the photos, the hostel looked a lot nicer, more illuminated, organised and cleaner. It’s an old building with cracking uneven timber flooring covered by a carpet that is dirty, long dark corridors with walls half painted black, it felt dark and very very gloomy. The shared bathrooms have very small cabins, divided by cheap timber walls, also with poor lighting, the toilet itself was clean though but like looking around you’d see dust settled on surfaces and walls were dirty. The hostel didn’t have towels available to rent when I needed, they told me I’d have to wait 2 hours as they were all washing. I ended up drying myself with a tshirt because I couldn’t wait that much. The 6x shared bedroom smelled like feet and sweat. It was so gloomy and sad, the only window we had faced the laneways where massive bins were kept and from time to time glass bottles were dumped in these bins making such a loud noise! My roommate insisted on turning the lights during the night. So I tried to sleep with the light on and the curtains didn’t block the light completely. The actual design of the bunk beds is ridiculous. What is all the space left in the ceiling for? Please put some better higher floor to ceiling fully enclosed capsule like beds… the beds have a storage right over your legs, so no space to move your legs be advised. And it doesn’t lock unless you bring your own lock. If the photos were truthful to to actual hostel condition rather than showing only the little nicer bits with photography lighting and editing , then I wouldn’t have anything to complain. Completely misleading.

Outsourced breakfast is awesome. Great partnership with a good cafe. It can be very noise. I was on a 3rd floor but I can hear noises from.the streets and people working.

24 hour reception desk and easy check in with friendly staff. Central location. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Shower was nice and hot. The photo's of this room are misleading. The room was dingy with notable patched-up holes on the wall. Windows were dirty. The foyers felt grimy and dark. Outside noises permeated the room. Concrete drilling occurred outside my room and through the night when I stayed. You can get a room for the same price that is more pleasant.
