Great location. and breakfast. No A/C

Not sure all rooms are like this but ours (in the "residenz"; room 2 that could be joined to 1 or 3) was great. It was spacious and had oriental rugs and big windows. Sizable shower that drained well (it seemed to us that some hotels have problems with that). The breakfast was great and we also ate dinner at their restaurant which was quite respectable. One of the innkeepers recommended a very nice bottle of an Austrian dry riesling a notch above the one available by the glass. They had a good indoor room for bicycles (we travel by non-electric road bikes).

Good location - town center and close to the train station. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The staff were friendly. Good breakfast. Easy check-in/check-out.

Great location and nice hotel

The location in the charming village centre within easy walking distance to the Abbey was great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast in the morning provided both hot and cold options and the Restaurant for evening meals had a good menu. Our bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure and lots of hot water. My husband found the Wifi was weak in our room. As we were located above the outside patio at the front of the building there was noise from the street and patio restaurant until almost 11:00 on two of the three evenings we were there. We were not overly bothered by this but it might be a reason to choose another room if we were to return.

Location was awesome directly in the city center.

Lovely, directly beneath Melk Abbey Staff was excellent and exceptionally helpful. Very clean and comfortable room.

Breakfast included in the room charge. Water was a very slow drip in the shower which was not a pleasant experience.

It’s very conveniently located in the heart of the town, and the fountain was right outside our window. We had the most awesome view of the Melk Abbey as well. The cleaning staff were very efficient as well. The dishwasher wasn’t working in the room

We stayed in the historical wing. I got 3 rooms and we were all in the same area. Great for family bonding The dishwasher wasn’t working in the one room where we usually congregate because it has the most spacious living/dining area

Spacious apartment, amazing location - close to the train station, close to Melk Abbey - both a short walking distance, great view of the Melk Abbey from the apartment's window, quiet yet on the main historical street of old Melk, walking distance to the Danube. The apartment is in a historical building, very thick walls, gives a sense of how it was to live in the old times - yet, it is modernized. Breakfast had a nice selection and was tasty Booking reservation noted two bedrooms while we got only one bedroom (in addition to a living room), it was OK for us as the one bedroom apartment was spacious enough for 3 adults, it was just not aligned with the reservation; we did see a connecting door to another room but it was locked. The reservation also noted a washing machine - there wasn't such in the apartment (we didn't care about this but again, it wasn't aligned with the reservation). Note also there are a few steps between the bedroom and the rest of the apartment. The bed in the bedroom is a good size for one person but would be a bit small for a couple. But nevertheless, we liked the apartment but wish the reservation description would be more accurate.
