The Cottages Hotel

Everybody is wonderful here at the hotel and you feel like you’re staying at a family members home. It is very comfortable.!

We did a lot of traveling for our jobs before we retired, so we're familiar with the good and the not so good. The Cottages was a quiet, private, mellow place to stay. The rooms were comfy and amenities thoughtful. The staff was super and we will be returning. I'm sure there are other experiences available in Atherton, but we will be returning to the Cottages on our future college kid visits!

Really nicely renovated motel into a boutique motel. Very clean, very modern, very pretty.

What an unexpected treat! You get what you see online and then some. The property was very well maintained, and we were surprised to learn that our room came with a private patio off the bedroom. Despite being off a main road, the property is very quiet, even when outside enjoying the pool. The included breakfast was delicious and came with options for everyone (we were a family of four with two elementary age children). We are local to the SF Bay Area, but we having back-to-back activities in the area this weekend we decided to make it a staycation. We will definitely find a reason to come back!

The Cottages is a wonderful, tucked away, quiet and lovely place to stay. The management has thought out every detail to make guests feel at home, from a delicious healthy breakfast buffet to onsite washer and dryer. I am so happy to have found this small gem of a hotel

Lovely, spacious, and quiet guest room. Terrific breakfast including a high-end espresso machine. Well-maintained grounds. Convenient location. Excellent value.

Very clean property as well as the room. Helpful staff, enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and coffee. Highly recommend this place. Great location! Will definately come back.

Walls are thin, could hear other people up late at night making it hard to sleep.

Good location. Easy to go in and out. The room is comfortable. Stayed on first floor of two-story building, very close to the office, breakfast area, water and ice station. Breakfast not as good as in two previous visits. Nonetheless, there were some healthy options.

Everything was just really nice. The bathroom looked really modern and nice bed was really comfortable. Swimming pool is clean and nice breakfast breakfast even though it’s just a generic eggs and bacon and potatoes but a very high-quality and fresh. Staff was extremely kind and I would not hesitate to go there again. 10 out of 10!!

Simple, not fancy and very clean. Surprisingly good breakfast choices. I Expected more like Continental breakfast with the basics . This is not the Hampton Inn.

This is a fabulous, quiet, and peaceful location to rest and relax. The morning buffet was outstanding and all the little surprises with treats and such were thoughtful. The staff were amazing. Overall this was a wonderful, calming retreat while working, learning, and exploring in San Francisco.
