Great location, breakfast. Our phones were stolen at an event in Mexico City and they did not have a phone available so we could notify family we were ok.

Also the shower floor is slippery….a shower mat would make it safe.

Great stay overall. The location is excellent—just two blocks from the Zócalo and very close to both the bus stop and metro station, which made getting around super easy. The room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast was yummy, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Would happily stay here again.

Great location for visiting the Zocalo and historic center of the city. No traffic noise. Quiet, clean and comfortable rooms and friendly efficient staff. The hotel is not easy to spot from the street. A more obvious sign would be helpful. Make sure you know what number you are looking for - it's 17.

Overall nice room and great location. Breakfast was good. Only complaint was the bathroom as it has a rolling door which doesn’t completely close and you could hear everything from the room and bathroom which wasn’t very good when someone got up during the night to use the bathroom.

We had a great stay at the Colmena. The room was sunny, comfortable, and clean. The staff is competent and friendly. The breakfast was yummy. So close to where we wanted to visit, we walked everywhere. I loved the outside spaces. A great value also. I hope to come back.

I arrived in CDMX on Friday night. It’s my first time visiting the country, and honestly, I didn’t have any expectations at all. When I walked inside the place, the interior was stunning. I’m not sure if this reflects a traditional Mexican façade, but it’s truly impressive—it feels like staying at someone’s home. The room is fantastic. Having traveled for more than 10 years, I can say this isn’t your typical hotel room—it feels more like a house room. The décor is simple, not complicated, yet everything you need is there. Amenities are complete, the staff is very helpful, and the place is kept spotless around the clock. Breakfast was an easy 11/10. Overall, I’d rate the experience 6/5. Thank you again, guys! Place is nice and quiet to rest. Everything is clean and inviting. Breakfast is fresh, tasty and super convenient to have before heading out to sight see. The lady in charge of breakfast, Reyna is very sweet and helpful. Cool to see people from around the world in this beautiful historic location that is within walking distance to to several prime locations. Everything was great!
