The location was amazing (close to the Angel of Independence, which has city bus tours, and also many restaurants nearby) and the unit was very spacious. Central to different areas of the city, in between all my different appointments. The three beds in the same room was very ideal for my family/party. The staff was also extremely courteous. The facilities were more then adequate, with the kitchenette, as well as the bathroom sink, and the water was very hot with high pressure, and consistent. There was also the restaurant (that is FANTASTIC) right beneath the restaurant. I also enjoyed complimentary coffee. The mattresses were also nice and firm, and the unit was quiet, with only a tiny bit of noise on ocassion. Plus it was very well priced, while meeting all of my needs. I wish the bathroom had fan. That is my main recommendation to improve the situation. The view from the window, from the side of the hotel was not as nice... but I think from the other side of the hotel you can actually view the Angel of Independence.

Cuádruple room was very spacious Floors were super old, loose and not maintained. Electric outlets were super loose, couldn’t connect our cell phones for charging. Lights didn’t turn off properly, we had a bad night since the room never was totally dark.

Nothing Is nothing like the pictures, is totally different, the halls smells and looks old and duty

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Nothing about this room was acceptable! The room was NOTHING like the pictures shown! There was a smell as soon as you walked in. There were no blankets on the bed, the towels were old and used looking, the kitchenette was old and dirty, and the bathroom had black mold on the wall by the shower! It was not a adequate room to stay in so we left! I wish I had photos but just as soon as we checked in, we turned around and checked out!

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The best feature is its excellent location near Paseo de la Reforma and the Angel of Independence, making it easy to explore Mexico City. The suites are spacious and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. While some areas of the property could benefit from updates, the hotel offers good value for the price. I would recommend it to travelers looking for a convenient location and large rooms in Mexico City.” “Unfortunately, my experience at Hotel San Marino was disappointing. The room had a strong bad smell, especially coming from the carpet, which made the stay uncomfortable. The hotel location is convenient, but the cleanliness and maintenance need improvement.”

Absolutely loved the location, the staff was very kind and super helpful! They could make more modern adjustments, little things that could make the place feel a bit more well kept.

Huge room. It was a one bedroom with a large living room. The bathroom needs to be renovated. Cracked molding on every corner.

Great service staff very polite great location and food city view rooms have an spectacular view to the angel It is and old hotel, and some aspects could be improved or renovated like the bathrooms

Clean place great service great view at the city view suites. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is awesome. No parking is a downside if you are driving. Close to the angel and a lot of restaurants bars and supermarkets, local vibe is great and safe It is an old hotel that would benefit of some renewals.

2 blocks from El Angel , I booked the city view suite queen bed , sofa , kitchenette , coffee maker( no coffee on site ) so pointless ??? Lots of restaurants around the area Don’t accept their taxi service my experience I accepted first they said it was gonna be 380 pesos transport to the airport. I clearly stated many times I was going to AIFA and the lady manager booked the taxi service to another airport when we were about to arrive at the airport which was like a 30 minute drive the taxi driver said we’re five minutes away and we’re like no why it’s like when we came, it was like an hour and a half drive and he’s like oh that’s the different airport. That’s when the whole stress began cause now we had to pay 1200 pesos for the driver to take us to the correct airport so to avoid all this stress and manage our time and not miss our flight I paid that 1200 pesos. I called the lady manager at the hotel to tell her my concern she denied making the mistake and after going back-and-forth, she agreed to pay 300 pesos to the taxi driver, which I think was not fair but something is better than nothing. Tell my recommendation is just get the bus that is almost right in front of the suites Marina and they charge 160 pesos per person to get you to the airport AIFA which is about an hour and a half drive and they have the schedule there. It’s more reliable and less expensive.

The hotel is very well located, right on a main avenue and close to many food options, including restaurants and street food. There’s an OXXO right in front and a pharmacy just around the corner, so it’s very convenient to get anything you might need. We also felt safe walking around the area even late at night. Another plus is that the hotel is within walking distance of public transportation and the Turibus, which makes it a great base for exploring the city. I also appreciated that they offer laundry service. The hotel is a bit outdated. The room had central air conditioning controlled by a simple wooden vent, which felt old-fashioned. The bed was comfortable, but it made noise when moving. One of the power outlets next to the bed wasn’t working properly, so I had to charge my phone elsewhere. The flooring looked worn, with some gaps between the panels, which made it feel less well-maintained. The bathroom was decent with hot water, but there were small details that could be improved, like mold on the hot water handle and a missing cap on the fixture. At one point, I noticed small debris in the water while rinsing my mouth—possibly residue from the pipes—which was a bit unpleasant.

I thought the service in the room overall were great. The only complaint I have is my room or maybe all rooms have this air vent near the ceiling that runs automatic most of the day and all night. it’s very loud and there is no way to turn it off.

I just want to start by saying that I didn’t stay at this property and booking refunded me the money paid. The only thing good about the property is its location. Where do I start? Of course I have to start saying that the pictures are completely misleading. The rooms are old, dirty, with an old fashioned decor (which would be ok if it was clean). It surprises me that it is rated in the site as a 5 star hotel. It is far from that, it is and felt like a 1 star hotel in Paris. I had been to several hotels under the “Eurostar das Letras” brand and they were all excellent and truly 5 star. This was probably the reason why I was misled in booking this property. The room was completely dirty, dusty with black dust and damp as it can be seen around the air vent.
