They gave away my room and I had to go in search of another hotel late at night when I arrived. They didn't keep their promise. I called and talked to their reservation person, explaining him that my flight will land in the evening so that they keep my room for me. I offered to pay in advance and he said there will be no problem but when I arrived there were no rooms available and I had to seek for a place in the middle of the night, with all the luggage.

The place had charming in a surreal kinda way. It felt like being in a time capsule. The door to the laundry was next to my room, and made a fair amount of noise during the day.

Communication can be improved amongst staff. A housekeeper barged in while I was still in the room. Sheets and blankets were stained.

Just the attention provided by the staff they were kind and really friendly to us They were working on the rooms, basically rebuilding it since early in the morning, not a single word we were woke up by the loudest sound

No breakfast, but many reasonably priced breakfast cafes in the neighborhood. The entire staff was exceedingly accommodating. The manager even let me use his Metro Bus pass for a ride to a ping pong facility. I needed more electrical outlets, and they provided an extension cord. A landline phone provided by my cellphone company didn't work, and they rigged the room phone to work so I could call the United States free. My eyesight is not great, and the manager tried to find a lamp to brighten the room. The entire staff, from management to cleaning ladies, was quite friendly and ultra helpful. And I could have spent hours in the spacious shower with the wide spray of warm water. This is a very well-run hotel, And the price was great. If the shades covering the light bulbs on one wall were removed, the room would be brighter.
