Good location Everything else. Filthy dirty. Weird guests and outsiders (including random security people with guns) roaming the hostel (and sleeping in common areas). Very loud. No toilet paper. Water outage for 2 days. Overall just horrible

The staff was not very attentive, we had to go 3 times to the reception for them to take action to unclog the toilet in the room. The wifi in the room was bad. The fan and safe box didn't work. Rooms are dark and loud, with noise from the streets (not for light sleepers, the windows hardly isolate the sounds). Not very clean. Located on a busy, rather uncosy street.

The entrance to the building is the only redeemable part of the property. I do not recommend it. This is not accommodation for travelers as promoted on social media, but an accommodation for immigrants waiting to enter the United States. What you will find are Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans and Russians. Families with children and pets live there. Almost no travelers. The building is gloomy and dark from floors 1 to 6, the hallways are dirty, have poor ventilation, and it smells like frying all the time on floor 1 where the common dining room is, and the same in the private kitchen on the second floor. Bad neighborhood to stay. The check-in process is awful, they don't guide you on anything other than the Wi-Fi code and that the kitchen is on the 1st floor, they don't tell you about activities or any other orientation. They send you to check everything in the app or WhatsApp group. At reception, they are not friendly, and it is obvious that they only want to make the minimum effort or less. You wait for the check in time, but then you get to the room, and you find unmade beds, in my case, they moved my room 2 times and none of them were ready at 3pm, they also don't explain to you that the sheets, blanket and towel must be given by them. If you have to sleep in a room that faces the interior patio of the building, you won't be able to sleep on Friday and Saturday, since there is a party both days, the insulation of the windows is zero, and it feels like the DJ were in your room. The rooms that have a bathroom are humid, extractors do not work, and the ceiling is full of mold, they are not cleaned daily, and they rarely smell cleaning products. The floor of the rooms is not cleaned either, if you look under the bed you will see it full of dust like it was in my room. Constant water cuts. The kitchens are poorly equipped and quite dirty, as are the refrigerators. The internet disconnects often. If you are a digital nomad like me, look for another option.

Most of the staff is attendtuve n helpful We experienced a late check in for 2 hours which is not up to standard. We was transit from other countries n expected to settle down in our room at the according check-in time which is 1400. However, our room was not ready till 1600. Moreover, we was assigned to a room which is next to the road and it was really noisy with the traffic during midnight.

Vibe is always nice at selina. However, I felt the staff was not so helpful. It would be nice if shared rooms could be cleaner, they look old and not too good conditions

The hostel looks great and offers a lot of activities. Some bathrooms were always locked and others were a little dirty

Great central location, staff was really nice and helpful. Bar that is in Hostel/Hotel is really nice. Because it's rather hostel than hotel I didn't expected room cleaning morning that happened

The location is great and the room itself was ok. The beds are comfortable and they had 2 pillows each which is a nice touch. However, I did have to ask for a towel and sheets as these were not on the bed when I checked in (2 hours later than the scheduled 3pm checkin I might add). Staff is rude and unpleasant. They don't seem to care about the guests at all. I was there at 3:30pm for check-in, but they said the room isn't ready yet and to wait 20 minutes. No problem, but then after 20 minutes they said again it's not ready and to wait another 20 minutes. Again, fine. But then it still wasn't ready and in fact it took an hour longer for the room to be ready. So in the end, it was after 5pm instead of 3pm as posted everywhere AND when I got to the room there still weren't even sheets or towels so I had to go back and ask. Meanwhile, the staff was quite rude to other guests staying there.

The location was amazing: 10 minutes walking to the Palacio de bellas Artes. Also metro station rigt in front of the hostel. Great co-working area and very good internet. The rooms could be cleaner, especially the bathroom.
