The Green Park Boutique Hotel and Grand Suites - Chapultepec Parkfront

Location near park but very loud and busy street. I had to secure a second hotel after one night, essentially forfeiting $600 US dollars. Loudest street I have experienced.

Very loud on the street side, and the interior courtyard option for rooms is literally a balcony facing into a larger room - it doesn’t open to iutdoors. We also tried to extend our stay (arrived 3 days earlier) and that was fine but we needed to get a bigger room because the one we originally booked wasn’t available. Then, when it was time to switch they told us we could stay in the larger room because our original room wasn’t available. After another day, they told us to pay the additional change in price between the small and large room? They also said the hotel was very full but the rooftop was closed the entire stay, the restaurant was empty, and I barely saw another guest in the full 5 days. Luckily they helped us out after the confusion and we didn’t end up having to pay the difference. Overall, it was fine but not worth the price.

Our suite was well maintained, clean, and matched its description and online photos. The food and beer in the view restaurant were good and both were fairly priced. The location adjacent to the large Chapultepec Park and several museums is a good choice for many travelers. For those seeking proximity to many restaurants and a lively street scene, hotels northeast of here (possibly near the Sheraton Maria Isabel) would be a better choice. In our case, we were active all day after breakfast, had our dinner at various locations around town, and took an Uber back to the hotel, so it all worked out great for us. There is considerable road noise at night, but I suspect this could exist at many hotels in this city of 22 million people.

The room with the view of Chapultapec Park (twice as big as Central Park) was beautiful. We stayed for a week and loved it. We spent a lot of time in the park, enjoying strolling through the trees, people watching, and visiting the phenomenal Museum of Anthropology. here are many more things to see in the park that we didn't have time for because Mexico City and environs are so full of amazing sites (don't miss Humedalia's tour of the chinampas of Xochimilco). The hotel has a very "English" feel to its decor, food, etc. (as its English name suggests.) I'd recommend it for for travelers who want a serene retreat at the end of a day of sightseeing in and around Mexico City, which is so amazingly culturally and sensorily rich. Everyone on the staff was warm, friendly, and helpful. Because of the hotel's strongly English decor, food, and "vibe," it's not a place I'd recommend for those who want to be immersed in Mexican culture 24/7.

Very noisy location. Never tried the food as other guests didn’t recommend. Needs updating , staff very nice but trouble with room service S they don’t all speak English. Decor, dated, need in room tea and coffee and English speaking tv channels

The bedrooms are spacious. The mattresses are old and very uncomfortable. Even the pillows are very old. Nothing has been updated since their opening almost 20 years ago. The mats next to the beds are horribly dirty and old. The TV screen is a TV from the early 00's and very small.

we'd driven by the property on numerous occasions and were intrigued. It looked very nice, so when we were invited to an event in its gardens, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to stay there. The property has heaps of faded glory. It must have been fantastic 20 years ago. Now it feels tired and dated. The food on the room service menu was horrible. The noise from the busy street was awful. They need to double glaze.

It’s a nice hotel with exceptional staff. Room was large. Overall it’s a nice place Air conditioning in room didn’t work for a day and 1/2. They changed our room. Too much traffic/street noise all day and night. Not really “near” anything. No hot water for shower on last day. Couldn’t get to our room for a few hours because of electrical maintenance on one day.. Weren’t notified in advance. No offer of any compensation for the above issues.

Superb

The location is right in front of the Chapultepec park (although the entrance is 10 minutes away you could consider it if you are traveling with kids like me and going to walk by foot). The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is old. Old air conditioner system and the quality of the air is not good, old smell in the room, furniture is very being in used. There is no teapot/coffee machine/minibar in the room. My room was with a balcony and Chapultepec park view and it's right on the big road - even though there's plastic window in the room, the noise was quite loud all the time and the balcony is actually useless because of this highway. I had a breakfast in the restaurant and I'll never come back there. The service with simple scrambled eggs and croissants took 1 hour and the food was so bad I couldn't eat. My summary: there are much better options in CDMX for this price where I stayed before and I chose this place because of the location. But as far as the entrance to the park is quite far still it didn't make big difference for me if I'd stay somewhere else close.

The Green Park Hotel has real old world hotel charm. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, attentive staff and situated in a good location to explore most parts of Mexico City. It felt a bit empty, not too many guests…

The view from the room and decor was ok Very unfriendly and rude staff. I was given a room with a broken shower upon arrival, when I complained, the staff brought me keys to another room and helped me move my belongings - so far not great, but OK. However while the shower was somehow ok in the new room the heating was broken! I literally had to run between 2 rooms at night in the cold as the staff decided to just leave. I understand things like that can (should not!) happen and the shower in my original room got repaired eventually, however I've never received any proper apology and the phone was hung upon me when I complained! The next day I even went to the reception asking the new receptionist if he was aware of the situation and that I had to waste over 2h of my time on this inconvenience and did not get a proper sleep as a result and he simply said "yes", no "we are sorry" no "we would like to offer you a voucher for a free drink in our restaurant/ bar" no "can we offer you a free breakfast/ coffee"... literally nothing at all! The staff then continued to be very unfriendly (almost hostile) for the rest of my stay. Also a warning - the rooms are extremely noisy and the building literally trembles when heavier trucks/ buses drive by. I would have left, but since my stay was prepaid, I was sure I would not be treated well or even get a refund and I only needed to stay or 2 more nights, so I just bought earplugs and stayed. Hopefully a warning for others to find somewhere else if you are looking for a nice, calm & friendly hotel. The rooms would also benefit from renovation - the showers in particular were rusty & nasty. Very disappointing indeed as this was not the cheapest option for this category of hotels (but the quality was akin to a very shabby 2 star hotel!) in Mexico City - never again!

Green Park is a classic and comfortable hotel with easy access to the park and many local attractions Be sure to get a room that does not face the busy road - it's loud with trucks etc

The suites are beautiful and very comfortable. The bed is firm and gives great support. The view into the park was very nice. The hotel provided robes and slippers. The bathroom was large and blocked out noise well, you can’t hear the shower running from bed. The soap provided by the hotel smells incredible. All of the staff was very professional, attentive, pleasant and went above and beyond to help me and my family. The hotel is located right off a main road so you can hear the cars passing by. When trucks drive by the entire building shakes. Also some lights in the room stay on all night even when all the switches are turned off, it is a dim light though. If you are a light sleeper I highly suggest sleeping mask and ear plugs. The power to the room is cut off when the key card is taken out so the clock in the room has to be reset every time you come back to the room.
