Best Western Plus Brookside Inn

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and both times what excellent the staff was very friendly and accommodating we arrived early and was allowed to check in early which was very convenient parking was very limited but that was the only issue we had and it wasn't even that bad I definitely recommend this place 100%!!

Loved the room with the balcony. It let light and fresh air and had a lovely breeze. The bed was a little too firm in my opinion and it was fairly noisy but didn't disturb my sleep. Will definitely stay again if returning to the area.

Front desk was very helpful when we did not have a bottle opener. My boyfriend brought his laundry to multitask during our stay. The front desk provided quarters for the machines. Even though we were right by the front desk, the room was quiet and spacious.

Room #125 was just ok. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. I could see mildew along the bathtub. I’m not really sure when the bathtub/shower was cleaned last; there was also yucky stuff on the walls. There was also something strange about the bathtub where part of the tub wasn’t sturdy on the bottom; not really sure how to describe it. I just tried to not step in the part of the tub. Breakfast wasn’t anything special. The staff was nice. Parking was a challenge in the evening.

The room had a very bad odor. The sheets were smelling terrible like pee and smoke. It was unbearable to sleep on them. I will not stay on that hotel again.

The room was extremely clean and it was welcoming the moment I opened the door.

Among all the hotels in Milpitas, Best Western was very reasonable. The free parking and free breakfast was very good. I will come back there.

This is not somewhere I’d choose to stay by the looks of it from the outside. However, this place is so well taken care of! I can’t remember the last time I stayed in a hotel that was recently remodeled. Everything looks great and is so clean! We were very comfortable! Plenty of stores nearby if you forgot to pack anything or are hungry. Only criticism is the parking is tight and full of construction worker vehicles and it can be a little noisy from nearby roads. They might want to consider only allowing 1 truck per reservation because I saw multiple trucks out there. But parking is free and breakfast was great!

Room was a lot nicer than i thought it would be. Breakfast was great and the front reception guy at night was great. Would book again.

Super nice

I came back to my room a little earlier one day. I was out from 10 am until 2 pm. My room was not ready. In the middle of being cleaned and they inadvertently checked me out!!! Staff is pleasant and nice. Maybe needs more organization???

The room was okay for a one-night stay. My husband and I just wanted to be closed to where we were visiting on Sunday. We originally booked a king room and as soon as my husband walked in it smelled of cigarette smoke terribly (despite it being a smoke free property). When he went to tell the front desk, they had to move us into a 2 queen bed room since the one they originally had for us was the last one they had. We accepted and when we entered the room it was okay. The amenities are simple and nice but the room just didn’t look the best. The curtains and the top had stains all over and it made the whole room give a dingy vibe. Definitely one of those places I’d check if there was like bedbugs because of the overall feel. It was still a decent stay, but we probably wouldn’t book here again.

They have a nice breakfast spread with lots of options. Room was big a lil outdated but not an issue. Pillows were actually comfortable. Very quiet u can’t hear what’s really going on outside. Would stay here again.
