Exceptional

Good location close to the lake, the riverwalk, restaurants and the market. Nice sized room and we enjoyed the fitness room. We parked in the garage next door because valet parking was really expensive.
-
Great location (especially for going to The Riverside Theatre)! Parking is steep, but the valet was so nice. There is a bar and restaurant right in the lobby, as well as some food and amenities offered by the hotel. Beautiful building. The bathroom in my room was meh, but the bed was comfortable. Would stay again.

We arrived late, after 10pm, which I did communicate this to the front desk prior to arrival - we arrived and they originally did not have my reservation through Booking.com. This was resolved by the time I made it down to the front desk the next morning before heading to breakfast. We did have to spend our first night in an 'off-line' room, which was not terrible. Lindsay the Manager at the front desk was AMAZING and so helpful throughout our entire stay. Any question we had, she was able to steer us in the right direction and her suggestions were perfect for our stay! Being in the middle of downtown was EXACTLY what we wanted! Walking distance to ALL the FUN! Communication between Booking.com and Hilton - for some reason the night staff at the front desk was unable to see our reservation, which was a pain, as we just traveled 6 hrs in a vehicle and all we wanted to do was sleep

Beautiful, old historic hotel. We’ve stayed here most of 15 years when attending Irish Fest. Room was immaculate! The only thing I would have liked would be to have more firm pillows. They were way too soft for me!
-
Better coffee choices could be better in the room.
-
We had a large room which was really nice. Wish they would have onsite parking and a pool.
-
A lovely old building, in very good condition. The drawback for me was there’s not really much to see or do nearby as a tourist. My other complaint was the fact that there was only one person handling check-in at a time in the afternoon when they ought to have expected several guests arriving at once. The young lady bartender was a delight. I should have noticed her name.

Margie was great!

Amazing building, great location. The history of this place is amazing. We have both stayed here before and always enjoy it. Did not use the amenities (restaurant or bar) because there is so many options in the 3rd ward (2 blocks away)

Friendly staff, clean room, easy access
-
A well maintained historic property with character. The room was dark with no outlook whatsoever. In my view it was grossly overpriced.

Amazing hotel and wonderful front desk staff

Superb

Oh, that was awesome. It’s old. It’s very unique and this historical site.
-
It’s a great location, the room was clean, and the history of the building is really interesting.
-
Great stay for Summerfest and surrounding area.

The rooms are showing their age. Exterior windows seem to have not been cleaned in years. You can barely see out of them through the grime. We stayed for 4 nights, and our room wasn't serviced once, despite the front desk staff saying they would be serviced every other day. We had to ask for fresh towels, and the bodywash and shampoo dispensers ran out. There was a weird odor in the room when we checked in. Everything looks a bit dirty, especially the bathroom. In the shower, the leg pedestal was broken. The housecleaning staff yell at each other at high volume every morning and all day, waking everyone up, and annoying guests. I guess they are doing that instead of cleaning rooms. Our son and daughter stayed in a separate room. The door to that room would not close because of bent hinges. It took a great deal of force to lift and slam the door to close it. To the hotel's credit, they did fix this, but it took a day and a half. The main entrance has no ramp to roll luggage up to reception--you have to carry your luggage up. Apparently there is a side entrance, but that it not obvious when checking in. This could be a great historic hotel, but it's not. I would not stay there again.

Quick stay to visit our daughter. Lovely hotel in a great location. Will stay here again!
