I had a perfect vacation time
-
The place is super old school in the best way
-
It was a unique experience.
-
Great location for working out on the trails, walking along the lakeshore. Plus a good pub right there after you’re done.
-
Convenient location. Spacious room. Friendly and helpful staff. Classic/vintage charm.
-
Very clean. Laundry on site. Great staff. And great food and drink at the Nick.

I love the character and charm of this hotel. This is the 4-5th time I’ve stayed here and it’s always been an enjoyable stay. I also like the on-site restaurant. The miniscule bathroom with limited counter space is the only thing that I can give as a negative. But even then, it’s got all the necessary fixtures.

If you want to know what luxury look like back in the 50s this is your place. Rooms a bit tiny. Not sure why room doors seem like coffin lids. You would think they would block of noise. But I could hear that the lady across the hall was having a very good night. Beds were very comfy. Room had the original mini kitchen. Small oven stove and fridge. My next stay I may bring some food to cook. Very close to the lake with a very nice park. Almost next door an very interesting pub I did not have time to visit. Parking on site that is as expensive as all parking in down town Milwaukee. Rental bikes near the car park. Not my first pick but already have another reservation here as my primary choice is full. If your into retro I think you will dig this classic location.

Don't come by car! They don't promise availability of parking, so it wasn't available. Whether chose parking half a mile away, or enjoy daily stress with Milwaukee's public parking rules.
-
Hotel overbooked and canceled 1 of our rooms almost 2 hours after check in time. Limited offers to assist us in getting another room elsewhere. We booked in march all coming from other states. Management called us to tell us but then hung up on us because he didn’t like our response. Horrible customer service
-
The bed was comfortable. One of the handles on the bathroom sink was not secured properly and came off during normal use, as did the towel rack on the wall. As all of this happened after hours it was not fixed until the next day. Paying for parking was not expected.
-
The staff very gently, the room super clean, the manager very friendly
-
Beautiful old and charming. Bathrooms were pristine
-
Was surprised that coffee/beverages and any sorts of breakfast amenities had additional fees. For a space of this price, one might anticipate those things being included in the stay. However, very much enjoyed the food/drink/staff of the Knick restaurant on site.
-
Old fashioned vibe, great room very comfortable. Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Restaurant was good with good service. Excellent location for Veteran's park and Discovery Center events, walkable
-
Conveniently
-
Really cool older hotel close to downtown. Walking distance to the parks and museums. There is an even a great restaurant attached to it called the Knick with surprisingly great food!

Room was great. Location is close to the lake. Staff was super friendly. Had a great stay.
