Palazzo Kapece

The location. The staff. The cleanness. A little bit noisy.

Ground floor apartment. We booked a room at Hotel Kapece with a kitchenette, garden views and rooftop pool well in advance. When we arrived to check in we were told that our room was not at the Hotel but an apartment on the other side of Monopoli. We had parked our car on instructions from the Hotel which was then much further away from the new apartment. When we questioned why we were not at the hotel, the manager told us they had renovated since we booked and our type of room no longer existed. Nobody contacted us about this when we still had the opportunity to cancel and rebook elsewhere, or to let us know our options at the hotel. We still had access to the rooftop pool if we wanted but were not walking there to use this facility. Our apartment had no view, no rooftop pool and was very basic. Our electricity blew on the first night but was quickly rectified, the kitchenette was not well equipped, shower was tiny and facilities were very dated. Not even a dishcloth or tea towel were provided. This was not good value for our money as we didn’t have the facilities that we booked and the manager was ambivalent to our situation, although did make a half-hearted apology.

Location was amazing! Ilenia was amazing! The bedroom was a good size with nice closet space. It was also nice to have air conditioning. The roof top was really great as well along with the jacuzzi which we ended up using one day. The actual apartment had many broken things in it and was quite run down (coffee maker was broke, towel rack in the kitchen was broke, the outlet covers were falling off, the TV didn’t work and we had to get up on a chair to unplug it and plug it back in each time we wanted to use it. The door lock was broke and had to have someone come to fix it. The shower door was off the hinge and couldn’t close it fully and we had to have someone come fix it. It still didn’t stay on the track properly and the shower itself was super small and the hot water didn’t last for two people to shower back to back. The bathroom is extremely small. I didn’t like not having a normal bar of soap. All the soap came in little tubes and it was for hair, hands and body. Would have been nice to have an actual bar of soap to use at the sinks and then shampoo and conditioner in the showers.

Centrally located near everything … authentic .. host was super helpful and delightful ! Our apartment was ground floor near restaurants and shops .. on weekend nights was noisy

The staff were amazing! Ilenia was incredibly helpful at giving advice on places to go or restaurants etc. She could no doubt enough for us and she made our holiday so wonderful. This accommodation is walking distance to everything and it’s been renovated to a high standard. I will stay here again when next in Monopoli No complaints at all

Perfect location in the old city. Extremely clean and comfortable! The staff was amazing and helpful with recommendations for places to go/see. I would highly recommend this property and Monopoli for your next visit! We liked everything! Esp Elaina who was so friendly and made us feel like old friends! She and the housekeepers were wonderful!!

Everything about the property was nice. The jacuzzi on the roof is everything. It’s a cold jacuzzi but trust me when I say you’ll love that with the heat. Accommodation is central and beautiful. The room was cool and also had AC. The shower had nice hot water. Rosita our hostess was ABSOLUTELY amazing and offers free beach towels, umbrellas and sunscreen during your stay. She also picked us up from the train station and answered all questions very quickly. Such a lovely experience. The TV in the room only shows Italian channels (which makes sense as it’s Italy!). It’s a smart TV but wasn’t hooked up to WiFi. Not the biggest issue, however as you’ll spend most of your time outside!

My stay at Palazzo Kapece in Monopoli was truly unforgettable. Nestled in the heart of the old town, just a short stroll from the sea and charming local spots, the palazzo blends historic elegance with modern comfort. The room was beautifully designed with vaulted stone ceilings, thoughtful details, and a serene atmosphere that made it feel like a private retreat. One of the absolute highlights was the rooftop jacuzzi—soaking there as the sun set over Monopoli was pure magic. What made the experience even more special was the incredible hospitality from Rosita, the host. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her warmth and attention to detail truly elevated the experience. Nothing.

Wonderful, kind and welcoming staff. Had recommendations for parking, places to eat, things to see. Wonderful location in an 18th century palazzo. Walking distance to many resturants and not too far away from some beaches. Room was always clean and had a nice jacuzzi style bathtub. 10% discount at the resturant Komera - and it was delicious! Not much to say here - it was a wonderful experience

The hostess was superior in all regards. Very prompt and clear in all communications, went out of her way to pick us up at the train station and bring us to the Booking.

Great stay - Rosita is wonderful and super helpful! Great location. Would stay again.

Everything, this was perfect. Location is great, host is amazing and everything was just so good. The apartment had lots of space, a washing machine, got cleaned everyday and we were able to extend when we needed without hassle. Rosita is just fab, very friendly, helpful and an amazing host!
