Baymont by Wyndham Montgomery AL

This hotel is in desperate need for an update. Fix the broken floors, tiles, clogged shower, etc. Fresh paint on worn out walls. It doesn't feel clean. Staff and check in was great.

The room was clean as well as the lobby and dining area. Downside was the lack of ventilation for the bathroom, there was none. I guess the humidity was cracking paint and drywall in the bathroom and the vinyl flooring was unsticking from the floor.

I chose to stay here because of the name. I trust Wyndam Hotels and their properties and booked a night for this area. I will sum up the experience by saying that at some time in the past, this was probably a nice place, but it was like a run down establishment that got a new coat of paint and some outdoor green carpet. The room did appear to be clean, but the air conditioner kept me up most of the night even though I put in ear plugs. The volume on the TV was set at a certain level, and I could not hear it very well, so watching tv was out of the question. I tried to get on the WiFi but could not, though the front desk clerk had told me the password. I tried to call the front desk, but the phones don't work anymore and when I went back to ask about it, no one was there. So... a rough night for me. In the morning, the breakfast room looked very nice, but I was in a hurry to leave, so I did not eat. When I got to my car and opened my door, it was filled with hundreds of red ants on the mat. I tried to kill as many as possible because these are the kind of ants that sting. I ended up taking the mat out and hitting it against the ground to try to get rid of as many as I could and then hoped that I could kill the rest with a napkin. Rough night turned into a rough morning...

It was ok . Shower was clogged . Breakfast was just few items . Waffle / toast / coffee / juice

The location was perfect for going back and forth to AUM campus. The staff were accommodating and the room was very clean. The only complaint was the shower didn’t drain well. Also, we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast of coffee, yogurt, bagels, waffles and fruit.

Location was fine It was very run down in my opinion. I went to close the blinds in the room and the entire thing came off in my hands, it hit my face and shoulder. I immediately reported it to the staff downstairs and they moved us to a different room and said we wouldn’t be charged for the stay. I was charged for the stay and they mysteriously didn’t remember telling me anything about it…very frustrating!

Was definitely misled by the pictures which makes it look nice, and the rating was completely misleading definitely not deserving of a very good rating. The place is old and beat up not well maintained. Parking was sketchy, elevator only can handle two people at a time. Really no amenities other than the indoor green area but not much seating. Pool is out of order. Room was big and roomy, but felt old and creepy. Broken tiles in shower. Also since all rooms face inwards you can really hear everything. We were woken up at 5 in the morning by guests staying next door where we heard arguing and slamming of doors which shook our entire room walls waking us up. Turns out there were like 8 or more guests having a party. Also, staff very limited, seemed to be only one person running the entire building. I would say probably one of the worst if not worst hotels I ever stayed at. Would never come back again.

Location The air conditioning didn’t cool the room. The pic’s on the tv was awful. Wasn’t clear at all. When you took a shower, the water would runoff into bathroom, the shower curtain was very short. We had to put towels to stop the water.

Where do I start? The room was dirty with paint spots on the floor. The bathroom had tiles falling off the walls and after I took a shower there was two inches of standing water in the shower. The curtain rod was just barely hanging on the wall to the point we did not move the curtain for fear it would fall off the wall. The worst issue was the air conditioner was about 18 inches from the bed so you either kept it on and froze or turned it off and roasted. Oh by the way it was 95 degrees during our stay. Breakfast area was nice and clean with a fair assortment of choices.

A lovely 1 night stay, staff were friendly and welcoming, the motel had a lovely smell and everywhere was so clean. The room was spacious, the shower had a good temperature and pressure, would definitely recommend.
