La Serena Inn

The staff was great. The room was clean and had a great view of the harbor from the balcony. Parking was good as long as you were at the hotel by 7. Then you have to park on the street. Overall we will Stay here again.

The only problem we had was the toilet was very low. My husband and I are 69 so getting down and getting up was a little hard.

Walkable to everything we wanted to see in Morro Bay. Lots of food options nearby. Easy parking. We will definitely stay here again

This was a great place to stay out. It was close to the beach. Restaurants were within walking distance. Hotel was clean. Beds were comfortable. My favorite part about the room, the had a sink in the restroom and a sink on the outside as well. HUGE plus for me.

Balcony room was not much of a balcony, only standing room. Parking is difficult for larger vehicles since it’s only 6ft 2” clearance. That should be mentioned on the website.

I booked a room here on Expedia August 9. When I showed up to the hotel, I was informed they booked the room I reserved to a walk in. No big deal, they tried to send me to best western on a walk, but I don’t stay at best westerns. I was informed I would get a full refund “in 2-3 days”. The refund never was processed. I sent an email to the customer service email listed on their website on 8/13 and never received a reply. I called on 8/16 and was informed that I was listed as a no show. I politely explained that I had been there and my room was double booked. They were supposed to process the refund and if I don’t hear from them by Wednesday, give them a call. I have called a few times today (Wednesday) and the phone just rings until it eventually hangs up. No option to leave a message. I guess I will have to reach out to Expedia because this hotel cannot seem to take care of their own mistakes in a timely manner.

Always clean and quiet, we often return to this hotel. Parking is free, they no longer offer breakfast unfortunately.

Parking was easy, safe and secure. The room was clean and spacious. The check-in staff amazing. We will definitely be returning soon. Location was grea, close to everything. 5 Star review from me and my family.

The good: staff is friendly. Location is within walking distance to lots of shops and Embarcadero Street! The bad: parking is first come, first served, so you may have to park on the street. The hotel interior is OUTDATED. The carpet looks like it’s from the 1980’s, and it continues into the hallway and into your room. The AC was unplugged, and when I bent down to plug it in the carpet underneath was full of dust - doesn’t get vacuumed much. Both queen beds had tons of little hairs on them, and multiple stains, which was absolutely disgusting. The pillowcases also had stains on them. The shower head is low, and I’m 5’6, but still had to crouch to fully get my head wet. The beds were springy and were incredibly uncomfortable for both my wife and I (she slept on one bed with our son, I slept on the other). Overall, this hotel gets a 2/5 for us. I hope you have a better experience, but if you’re hesitant stick with your intuition. Such a shame.

Bed is comfortable but not enough pillows. Found a couple hairs on decorative pillow and shower curtain. Carpet was stained and room was stuffy.

Great location and wonderful rooms. Walking distance to all restaurants.
