Morro Bay Sandpiper Inn

Everything is outdated, the floor was so dirty that within minutes the bottom of our new socks were completely black. Then the cherry on the cake was when I got up at 2am to use the restroom and there was roaches everywhere. Small house roaches. All in the bathroom and next area. I have pictures of them small shed on towels. It was horrible

Very quiet night sleep. Except for the noise from the refrigerator. No traffic from highway at pm. Clean room.

Nice location, quiet but close enough to walk everywhere. Good price and smooth check-in/check-out, with parking. Very noisy, you could hear everything that was going on with the neighbors. The room wasn’t lighted very well and it was missing hangers for the towels. However you can’t beat the price, especially if you consider it like just a sleeping spot.

Older motel. Room was small but served our need. The room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is kind of tight. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This is a clean and quiet budget property a little distance away from many of the other MB motels. The rooms are clean and quiet, there is good heating, toiletries, towels, bedding and comfy beds. You can see the Bay and Morro Rock from the 2nd floor, which is a plus! Downtown restaurants and stores and the Embarcadero are within a few blocks' walk. WiFi connectivity is good. The drinks machine outside the lobby office wasn't working, and there is only one ice machine on the property. There are no external trash receptacles anywhere on the property, making it impossible to clean up travel cups, plastic bags, etc., from one's car. There are insufficient plugs in the rooms for modern needs.

OK location, not centrally located but close enough. It’s a motel that is fairly clean. Bed was comfortable enough for one night stay. It’s cheap and thus a good value I guess. It’s a motel with cars parked right outside your window. Departing guests tend to make a lot of noise in the morning loading into their trucks and cars. The property is very old and unfortunately the owners are not keeping it in good shape. Lots of rust and other cosmetic issues in the room that tells me owners don’t care. While the room was fairly clean it smelled of strong cleaning agents. We had to open all windows and door to vent it.

The location was good, the room was clean. You could see light around the door, which meant that we heard EVERYTHING that went on outside ALL NIGHT LONG.

Location Nothing

The location was good. The room was noisy and you heard every sound that was coming from either side. The refrigerator made a noise that was terrible. You could hear what sounded like water running through out the night.
