Salkim Cave House

Loved the small boutique hotel. The location was 5 minute walk to town center. Gorgeous roof top view and you can see the air balloons. Room was spacious and clean. Yunus the manager was very friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was one of the best I have had in Turkey. Highly recommend Nothing.

Cem and his wife were wonderful, knowledgeable, friendly hosts. Delicious breakfast; comfortable, bad; hot shower. Their family runs the delicious restaurant 200 meters up the road.

The breakfast was very good and location was perfect coz it’s just a walking distance to the town. I liked everything and the host Yunus was amazing and very accommodating coz he helped us with everything we need.

Everything was great! The reception staff, especially one gentleman, was very supportive and helpful throughout our stay. Really appreciated the service. Highly recommended!

We had a truly pleasant stay at Salkim Cave House. Mr. Younis was incredibly attentive and always ready to help with anything we needed. He went above and beyond by allowing us to extend our stay until the evening, which was a huge help since our flight was later in the day. His kindness and flexibility made our trip much more comfortable and stress-free. Great breakfast, large comfortable room and a good view from the roof terrace. Yunus was very friendly too. We preferred this side of goreme to the side nearer the sunset viewing point which felt busy and commercial - whereas this hotel is in a quieter location. Some road noise from 530am onwards for balloon pickups. Roof terrace furniture was a bit tired and in need of upgrading.

Great manager YUNUS was very helpful. Makes things easy and overall a great value for the stay.

Great location at Cappadocia

Nice view. Spacious room. The staff were great. Breakfast was great and abundant. They have a water cooler so you can refill your bottle. Not all rooms are cave rooms. Maybe I missed that in the booking. But also not a big deal. But if it matters to you, maybe pay attention to that.

Clean, sizable room with access to nice terrace to watch morning ballons. Good breakfast. Free room service upon request. Given the fact the wardrobe closet has no drawers or shelves the luggage performs function of wardrobe and therefore luggage rack(s) is (are) needed. To avoid placing luggage on the floor and bending when using we used nightstands so, rucks would be helpful. Also, Cappadocia is all about hiking and because it can be very hot in the summer morning starting is important to escape the heat. Unfortunately, the breakfast starts only at 9:30am, the latest I've seen during our 15 months travel. So, it would be great if the manager would propose some solution for those who wants to start hiking early morning.

Rooms were clean, and we were served delicious breakfast with the best Turkish coffee. The manager Yunus amazed us with his hospitality and made sure to go above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable trip. Loved our stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Salkim Cave Hotel, and it truly exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The hotel itself is a beautiful blend of history and comfort, with its cozy cave rooms offering a unique and unforgettable experience. What really made our stay special, however, was Yunis, the receptionist. He was incredibly accommodating and friendly, always going the extra mile to make sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of. Yunis even took the time to hang out with us during our stay, offering great local recommendations and sharing his knowledge of the area, which made our trip even more memorable. I booked a hot air balloon and yunis had better prices, therefore contact him beforehand! With Yunis as our host, i know i am in good hands as he steered me away from scammers! And let’s not forget Bulut, the adorable dog who added an extra layer of charm to our visit. Bulut was a sweet and friendly companion, always ready for a cuddle or a playful interaction, which made the hotel feel even more like a home away from home. Overall, my stay at Salkim Cave Hotel was amazing, and I can’t recommend it enough. The combination of great hospitality, the unique cave experience, and the lovely company of Yunis and Bulut made it a truly unforgettable getaway. I’ll definitely be back! I couldn’t think of…

Everything about the property was lovely! Zeynep and Yunus were incredibly kind and accommodating - every day they went out of their way to make our group of seven friends feel welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, the breakfast was delicious, and the views of the hot air balloons rising in the morning were breathtaking. It truly felt like a home away from home. There was honestly nothing major to complain about. Everything was well taken care of and thoughtfully arranged.

The rooms are spotless, the breakfast is delicious, and the terrace is absolutely breathtaking—especially at sunrise when the sky fills with hot air balloons. A beautiful motel located on the hill of Goreme with views over the township from the rooftop terrace. The staff were very friendly and gave helpful advice on hiking and activities to do around the area, they made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The room was spacious with comfortable bedding, hot shower, large bathroom and kettle. The complimentary breakfast was amazing with fresh cheese, olives, fresh bread and different daily specials (omelette, gozleme or menemen). There were many restaurants and souvenir shops on the main road which was only a 10 minute walk. Access to many of the hikes were closeby too. They helped with arranging an airport pick up for a good price. Daily room service was also provided. As we had terrible weather while we were in Goreme, we were so grateful that we had such a lovely space to relax in at Salkim Cave House. Wifi was quite slow in the evenings
